Villa Del Mar

This hotel is located in a good spot, just the other side of Benidorm beach, and a 10 minute walk to the old town. The food is very good, good choice and the waitresses are lovely Cleavers are hardworking and friendly So now the negatives… Very Hard beds Noisy doors on the rooms, Sofa bed, is like laying in the floor, no comfort and the thinnest mattress you’ve seen Lifts, always out of order, quicker to walk Chill bar on 9th floor is a nice touch, but the don’t look after it, they play the same 5 songs, and it’s a bit shabby You have to Pay for safe, 3 euros per day, which is expensive The Bar area is disjointed, you have to leave the hotel to get a drink, it’s like they hired a shop next door, and you don’t have any comfortable places to sit outside Lights in restaurant are far too bright as well as the area you can sit outside We had No idea had another bar and disco area as no one told us, No entertainment Wi fi was very intermittent You have to pay 1 euro to get a cup to get a drink in the pool area, you do get this back but it’s a faff Pool lift location is a bit odd, you have to take stairs/another lift to it Small pool area, 20 beds, with a couple of day beds, which are in the shade so would hate to be here in the height of the summer as there will be no room Overall this hotel is sub standard,

I wrote a review a couple of weeks ago about having issues getting an accessible room for me being disabled. Following the general manager's advice to email their reception directly, we did, but received no response, and our email was marked as unopened. We then rang the hotel on Tuesday afternoon and spoke to a very rude staff member, telling us it was first come, first served, then told us to ring the call centre, which we did, and they said he would have to speak to the hotel and ring us back. 15 hours later, no response. So I cancelled our booking with this hotel and am looking into reporting it to the Spanish government for not assisting disabled travellers.

Fabulous hotel, staff and facilities were great . Everyone friendly and happy to help . Food was great especially as my partner is picky , always something to eat , plenty of options. The location is superb , right across from the beautiful beach , 25 min stroll to the new town . Roof top bar is fantastic, views superb. Thank you guys for a fabulous stay , we have booked again for the 20th December for 7 nights over the Christmas 🎅 period x
