⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great hotel, great staff and location

Just got back from a stay at Sandos Suites Benidorm and overall we really enjoyed it.

First of all, the staff are fantastic. Always smiling, always friendly and nothing was too much trouble whatsoever. You genuinely couldn’t fault them , they work bloody hard and deserve a mention. 👏🏻

The pool area is really good too. The pool is clean, a decent size and there were plenty of sunbeds for everyone. And thankfully, they’re not those horrible cheap sunbeds that feel like you’re lying on a scaffolding plank 😂 — these were actually proper comfy ones!

The food was okay. There was plenty of it and definitely enough choice that everyone should find something they like. Personally, it wasn’t quite my cup of tea, but I’ll admit I’m probably a bit spoiled after doing a few cruises recently where the food is a completely different level. That said, you certainly won’t go hungry here!

We stayed on the 7th floor and had a fantastic view from the balcony. The balcony itself was really spacious too, which was a nice bonus. The room was clean and tidy, and it was cleaned every day, so absolutely no complaints there.

The entertainment was okay , nothing that had us booking a second season on Netflix 😂 but it was perfectly fine for a bit of evening entertainment.

We also had a free visit to the Indian restaurant downstairs. The staff were lovely and very friendly, but unfortunately the food wasn’t really for us. The menu was pretty limited and, to be brutally honest, it tasted more like a frozen microwave curry than something freshly cooked 😬. Pretty much everything seemed to taste the same! Still, it was a nice little visit and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.

Location-wise, it’s spot on. Around a 7-minute walk straight down to the strip, so you’re close enough to everything without being right in the middle of all the noise.

Overall, it’s a nice hotel in a great location with brilliant staff. Is it the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in? Probably not. But would I come back? Absolutely, no problem whatsoever. 👍🏻

Thanks to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable — you really do make a difference! ❤️

Lovely family holiday

We recently stayed at Sandos Benidorm Suites as a family of four (two adults, a 16-year-old, and an 8-year-old) and had a wonderful holiday. The location is fantastic. It sits just far enough away from the main bars to escape the noise, but it is close enough that you can walk to the main strip in about 10 minutes.

Pool & Sunbeds - one of the highlights was the complete lack of "sunbed wars." The staff do not open the pool area until 8:45 AM or 9:00 AM, and they strictly send back anyone trying to get in earlier. Because of this policy, there were plenty of sunbeds available at any time of the day, making the pool experience completely stress-free.

Kids & Teen Entertainment - the hotel has two fantastic areas to keep children entertained, which were great options for a break during peak sunshine hours or late in the evening - Teen Area: Equipped with PlayStations, Xboxes, and a Mario Kart machine. Kids' Room: Filled with building blocks and plenty of toys to play with

Dining & Drinks Main Buffet: We ate most of our meals here and had a great experience every time. There was plenty of selection with warm, fresh food and drinks readily available. It is set up as a standard self-service buffet rather than table service, which is exactly what we expected.

Snack Bar: This had a great selection, including kebabs, burgers, toasties, pizza, and chicken nuggets—all available with chips and/or salad. Everything was cooked fresh, and the service here was great. Sometimes the guys didn’t have chance for breath.

Indian Restaurant: The hotel has an on-site Indian restaurant. Every group gets access to dine here for one night of their stay. Make sure to book this early so you don't miss out, as it fills up quickly.

Drinks & Bar Snacks: The all-inclusive alcohol had a good selection, though it was slightly lacking in overall quality. However, premium brands were very reasonably priced (e.g., €7 for a Southern Comfort and a Cardhu whisky). Lay's crisps, peanuts, and cheesy bits were also readily available at the bar, and all the staff were very friendly.

The Rooms & Housekeeping - the apartments were very spacious for a family of four. A kettle and fridge with bottle of water on arrival is provided in the room, and you can easily get extra tea, coffee, milk, and sugar just by asking at the bar or reception. A few minor things to note, The balcony itself was large, but it only came with two chairs. Because there were four of us, we had to bring an indoor chair and a vanity stool outside so we could all sit together in the evening. Bathroom: The shower itself was good, but because it is an open design, water tended to leak across the floor. We easily rectified this by placing a floor towel down. Housekeeping: Sheets were not changed every day automatically, but if we hung the "full clean" sign on the door, they changed them without issue. The only real downside to the room was that the floor sweeping and cleaning could have been a bit better. Aircon could of been better throughout the hotel itself, but this seems to be a common experience recently when we have traveled to other hotels throughout Europe. Last Day & Late Check-Out is available, you can keep your room on your last day for €25. If that option isn't available, you are permitted to use the showers in the gym, and reception will provide towels for you. These gym showers were clean and in great condition, making it easy to freshen up before a late flight. Our only minor issue was that when we requested this, reception couldn’t supply enough large towels, but we easily made it work with additional small towels instead. Overall Experience is the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Despite the minor room and housekeeping quirks, we had a brilliant holiday. The combination of the great location, excellent fresh food options, great kids' facilities, and guaranteed sunbeds makes this a highly recommended hotel for families!

Wouldn’t return👎🏼

Not somewhere we would return. We stayed at this hotel for a week and unfortunately, there were more negatives than positives.

The public areas, including the pool and reception, were clean, the staff were very friendly & helpful, the location was great, the rooms were nice, and there was never any problem finding a space around the pool.

However, the negatives really let the hotel down. Our sheets were not changed once during the entire week, and even worse, there were stains on them from the very first day that weren’t caused by us. The shower was also faulty, constantly going from scalding hot to freezing cold every few seconds & this same issue happened with the sink taps also. Cups and mugs in the room were not changed throughout the week either.

The food was another major disappointment. Breakfast was cold every day, regardless of what time we went down. We only tried lunch and dinner once because unfortunately we didn’t enjoy either. The food was cold and there wasn’t much that appealed to us. The dining room itself felt very tired, with no windows, and reminded us more of a prison canteen than a hotel restaurant.

The evening entertainment was also extremely poor. There was one night where we found it bearable which was a comedian/singer/artist, but aside from that, we were very disappointed with the entertainment throughout the week.

There was also no tea or coffee provided in the rooms, and the all-inclusive drinks were not great either. The soft drinks were very tasteless and the juices were cordial rather than fresh, which was disappointing.

We tried to make the best of it and thankfully, we absolutely love Benidorm, so there was plenty to enjoy outside the hotel. However, when you’re paying for an all-inclusive holiday, you expect a certain standard, and unfortunately this hotel didn’t meet it for us.

Overall, we wouldn’t return, although there were a few positives, particularly the location, friendly staff and nice public areas, the cleanliness of the room, faulty bathroom facilities, cold food and poor entertainment made the week far less enjoyable than it should have been.

Worth a visit

Spent 3 nights here. Nicely presented throughout. Public areas kept nice and clean. Bedroom could have been cleaner, dust under the bed, shower/bathroom needed a deep clean and no extractor, view from balcony was amazing, we were on floor 22. Food was fine but I've had better at sandos group in lanzarote, also felt dining room felt more like a canteen with no windows or atmosphere. Decent stay on the whole just a few personal niggles☺️

Old hotel that need some TLC

We stayed at the Sandos Suites, and overall the experience was far from luxury. The rooms were extremely basic, and the cleaning felt inconsistent and ad hoc. We even had to wash our own mugs and glasses every day, something I don’t mind doing, but it really should have been part of the housekeeping. Towels were changed unpredictably, even when left on the floor. The walls were ultra‑thin, so you could hear the neighbouring rooms very clearly. The bathroom was also very basic, with low water pressure in the sink, and it’s in serious need of refurbishment. The entertainment was probably the most amateurish I’ve ever seen, and at times it wasn’t appropriate for children. Getting a sunbed was ridiculous — you had to queue at 8am just to rush and put a towel down, and most of the beds were then left empty for most of the day. I genuinely thought this kind of behaviour had stopped. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection. Lunch and dinner offered variety, but the overall quality was very poor. Would I go back? No. Most things simply weren’t done very well.
