I read a lot of reviews before booking, and keep checking them until I go, so I like to write them too. We stayed here for 10 nights. The hotel is fantastically clean, the rooms were great beds were comfortable, they did have those strange long pillows but the beds were fab. Toiletries are provided and we're of good quality and we're filled by housekeeping. This hotel does some little things that help them stand out (in my opinion) There is a factor 50 sun cream dispenser just outside the bar, great Idea. I've already mentioned the toiletries, and at breakfast there is a little bit, seems simple but I hate a cluttered table, so butter packs, tea bags, egg shells etc, all go in the wee bin... brilliant. The staff are such a complement of this hotel. You will see a lot of reviews that mention David who heads up the entertainment team, I thought this was the usual, push for a review thing, but honestly, he made our holiday. He works long hours and always brings SO much energy. Lots of variety in the entertainment, during the day and at night. He is genuinely such an amazing person, if you can't be bothered, no dramas, but he brings SO much fun that you want to take part. A great mix of competition and Team games. We also had Javier on the team, although very different to David, he also brought lots of fun. When the team did their entertainment, the two younger ones on teams were there too, a good laugh, they made fun of themselves and the guests, all tongue in cheek. The evening booked shows we're a bit hit and miss,a female singer was very good, she was the night of the storm so was inside, great voice. A special shout-out to housekeeping, I am trying to learn Spanish and has left a note which led to a couple back and forth with Esmeralda and Sonia, they didn't know a lot of English but it was a lovely touch. Every one at reception was friendly and professional, also the young man that lived in Edinburgh and knew our football team, was so nice to meet him. In the restaurant there were some real stand outs, but all the staff were nice. I have a food allergy and after some help from Alex the Jet2 rep (he wrote me a card explaining the allergy and the impact) the young female chef was fantastic, all the chefs that cook to order, omelette, eggs etc at breakfast and meat and fish at dinner were really good. Special shout out to Ana for also helping me with Spanish when I got stuck, Ava who never stopped but always found a smile and Aaron along with the older gentleman. The salads were always fresh. At dinner it is wine, beer or water, if you are silver (I will come back to this) is included, you can also specify dry or sweet white wine and a bottle or glass. The bar staff work so hard, there is a young lady, I wish I had taken her name but she is amazing, always smiling, singing and dancing away. She was amazing, it's sad that I don't have the amazing bar staff names considering how much drinks they served me but I hope the descriptions help, the man who loved showing off his amazing dance moves and I think Mamo who again helped me with Spanish. He was great fun. There was one man I think Antonio, he is the only person that wasn't great, our fist few days it felt like he would serve anyone before the British, Scottish, Irish and English, but there are a lot of people that return to the hotel and he was amazing with them. He was also pretty rude a couple of times. He did seem to warm up by the end, but it's stuck out because everyone else is so good.
So a few tips, there are different levels of board, like always with half board etc but the difficulty here is there is also different levels of all inclusive. We were silver, which appeared to be local beer as spirits and some cocktails, then there is gold which seems to be brands, BUT Not everything so it's pretty confusing, and there is nothing clear that explains it. We also has bottled water free which is amazing. We got dropped off round the corner, it isn't far but less than ideal if mobility issues. The lifts can be slow at peak times, there are only 2, one lady who uses a walker was sat waiting on a lift for 20 mins, then the added issue was one broke , however I will say the had the engineers really quickly. The other thing with this hotel, and likely with most hotels in a built up area you are almost chasing the sun, the loungers along the back next to the showers are prime location, but also the second row of 3 on the long side are good too. Frustrating that the usual bed hogging goes on. There is tags on every bed to say can't be reserved but it's not controlled. I will say, every morning, every bed is wiped down. The pool opens at 9.30 (9 would be better) but we never didn't get a lounger. We were room 209, it looked over them pool area, another great point is when the balcony door is closed you don't hear very much at all, and the black out curtains are brilliant. Another thing I loved is the band you get for your board is also your room and the lifts key. Absolutely genius idea and saves losing key cards or them not working. You swim with it as well, such a great idea. There is also a jacuzzi and solarium deck, I couldn't manage the stairs to either of them, there is also steps into the pool, these are the same as the pool bottom, I felt they could get slippy and it has a metal hand rail which gets very hot so be careful It was around 8euro for a taxi to the market Which reception can book for you and there is a rank just across from there. It's just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, I have reduced mobility and managed there and back fine, it's a hill but not really bumpy or too steep
Just returned from RH ROYAL, we had a brilliant time. No problems at all over our 2week stay. The entertainment team of David and Javier work so hard and are great fun. The food was good, drinks were flowing from the hard working bar staff. Our room was spotless thanks to the maids. This was our most relaxing holiday and Benidorm was brilliant, something for everyone. We are going into town today to book to go back next June.
Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Hotel in Benidorm – Hands Down! We recently spent 7 days at the RH Royal Benidorm from late August into September, and it exceeded every expectation. Having previously stayed in a couple of other hotels in Benidorm, I can easily say this is the absolute best of the lot. Here is what made our week so special: Staff: Truly exceptional. Every member of the team was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Rooms: Lovely, modern, and spotlessly clean. A really comfortable space to return to after a day in the sun. Food: Fantastic quality and variety throughout the week. There was always a great selection, and everything was delicious. Pool & Sun Loungers: The pool area is fantastic—clean, relaxing, and best of all, there were plenty of sun loungers available so there was no daily stress trying to claim a spot. If you are looking for an amazing, hassle-free stay in Benidorm, look no further than the RH Royal. We will definitely be back!
Just returned from a fabulous week in RHRoyal. Would recommend to stay here. Lovely rooms, beautiful decor and cleanliness perfect. Food excellent and staff always friendly. We were in Room 804 and couldn't have asked for a better room. Location great, poolside fab. Could do with a 'no smoking' area in the terrace though. Thankyou for our lovely surprise to mark our anniversary celebration, so sweet and thoughtful ❤️
Lovely place and will return, however, a couple things you should know. There are not enough sunbeds around the pool to cater for the guess list if its quite full. So in the morning if your not up queing to get out by the pool by 08.30 to grab a bed, youll miss out. The pool opens at 09.30 by the way. Secondly no security and while we were there a bloke walked in and helped himself to people's belongings off the sunbeds whilst they were in the pool. He was spotted but all to late. Off he went without even being troubled by staff. They just wanted to carry in playing stupid games. No confidence in the security of the hotel at all. Other than that, it was ok 😆
