Medplaya Hotel Flamingo Oasis

Excellent location, close to beach & shops , me & my 2 kids enjoyed the pool & poolside food, burgers, chips & hotdogs . Plenty of variety at the buffet restaurant , no issues with being ill off the food like other reviews, we were there 10nights , although the hotel could be cleaner , we had no other issues, staff friendly enough, the whole lift situation was non existant, we were on floor 7 , room 708 , only time the lifts were busy was towards the end of our stay but the hotel did have an influx of guests over a 24hrs period so to be expected. People que around 8am for sunbeds, im just one adult do never had an issue going to the pool at anytime & getting a sunbed. Just crazy how some didnt turn up til hours later or not at all & had reserved sunbeds but i suppose that happens anywhere. Only things wrong was the fact only original cider on an all inclusive! On site shop sold kopperberg cans & could buy from the bars but its a bit poor to have beers/ lagers & no fruit flavered cider obviously to make extra cash. No matter as i hardly drank being on own with 2 kids! 30 euros to rent the safe in the room! Should be free! There was some dried food on the ceiling of our room the entirety of our stay so ther than clean bed sheets & towels, im not sure what the cleaners do. The balcony doors the lock kept dropping / was loose so wouldnt lock easily which was unsafe with kids. Also when we arrived there was a pool of sick near the lifts that was there around 4 hrs in total, we walked past a few times from around 3pm til after 7pm when we seen a cleaner finally cleaning it up, not a great first impression. Also the games room on site, really dated arcade games, the change machine was not plugged in when we first used it & had to tell reception. Also its not open til 5pm & 12 midnight each night , not ideal when got young kids that might want to use during the day. Also the toilets could do with a revamp & the disabled toilets dont lock on the ground floor next to the games room . Entertainment was outside every night except our last night cos it rained. So the room with the purple chairs doesnt get used & the room with the orange seats near the lift was in darkness the entire time, never seen anyone use it & the indoor pool was closed for the season . We would come back & stay again as the hotels location is spot on for the beach , mundomar & aqualandia , not 5 mins in a taxi

Just come back from a 10 day stay at the Flamingo Oasis. Going to try and cover all areas that potential visitors would be interested in. Pool - pool opens at 9am but the doors to the pool area open at 8.30.There is a queue forming from approx 7.30am at each of the x3 entrances to the pool area. Its fairly relaxed and certainly is not the mad rush you see at other hotels. A major issue is that there are no where near enough parasols , and the parasols that there are are bolted down to the floor so cannot be moved! They are different sizes and I would recommend finding the larger canvas parasol instead of the straw ones. There is a very strict policy in the main pool that no lilos can be used and only inflatable rings are allowed. No balls are allowed in the pool either , and this is policed by the lifeguards and they will curtail your enjoyment if you are throwing a ball in the pool. No drinks are allowed by poolside either.

Lifts - you WILL spend a considerable ammount of time waiting for lifts , and you WILL spend a lot of time stopping at lots of floors en route to your desired floor.

Location of hotel - you are only a 10-15 walk away from the beach front ( Burger King end) , and this is ideal. There is a LIDL approx a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.

Food - poolside bar opens at 11am and serves snacks till 5pm - burgers, nuggets, toasties, chips, crisps. The All Inclusive drinks finish at 11pm , and you then have to pay for drinks. Food in the main restaraunt cannot be faulted from our experience. Very wide range of choice and all tastes catered for.

Gym - opens at 10am and has a stepper , rower , variety of weights and bikes. Entertainment - very good entertainment in hotel on a night and then Karaoke Entertainment team round the pool during the day were also good , and worked very hard

Just home after our second visit. Wr also visited in 2024. I do thi k there is some improvements. I think the food choices were better. Snacks and drinks were good. You can get slush, milkshake, crisps and ice cream. The beer is san migel and from the pool snack bar you can also burgers, hot dogs, chips, nuggets and toasties. We never ever had an issue with getting a lounger some days we'd go down early others late morning and afternoon and always got one. Staff were great and there was issues with a family causing trouble and they removed them straight away so we always felt safe. We were on the 2nd floor so we didnt use the lifts often as you can wait a while for them. Its an ideal location. My only negative is the entertainment was awful the first time around it was brilliant this time it was terrible and majority of people left to go to tropical across the road which is what we did.
