Great location, plenty to do outside the hotel and a short walk to the promenade and the main strip. The room was clean and pleasant. The aircon in the room was good but it was boiling everywhere else inside the hotel, they need to keep communal areas cool as well. The beer on tap in the bar was warm and we didn't see the small print, but the all inclusive ends at 11pm, so you have to pay for drinks from 11pm onwards, which I've never experienced in an all inclusive before. The food was very nice, I couldn't really fault that. All round it was a nice relaxing holiday but I'd expect a bit more from a 4 star. The pool itself was lovely and big, but there was a litter around the pool and the floor needs to be resurfaced as there were holes and bits of concrete that had broken off which I kept standing on, that could easily cut someone's foot. We went out at night so can't comment on the entertainment.
We have been regulars at this Hotel for many years but sadly, like other guests we had spoken to during our stay, the Hotel has suffered a massive decline in just about every aspect. This place was renowned for returning visitors and long standing staff remembering those visitors despite the high number of faces they must have seen year on year. When those staff no longer work at the Hotel, it is a sure sign that something is wrong. I could be here all day telling you about my experiences during our last visit but I will summarise them very bluntly for you.
Total of 7 complaints registered with Tui regarding issues with the Hotel! (I won't list them individually)
*Other observations; Staff rude/unhelpful- From Reception,Bar to the Restaurant.
Cleanliness was utterly disgusting- Hotel wide, Rooms, Restaurant, Pool area, lifts, toilets.
Food was very poor, not 4 star level, very repetitive, poor quality, even poorer choice.
Restaurant is absolutely chaos, used to be well managed, even in peak season, not enough staff, tables not getting cleared, plates not getting replenished, dirty glasses, tables not being set, extremely rude staff.
Drinks are now served in paper cups, 4 star??
Pool bar is not fit for a 3 star Hotel, food is disgusting, portions are an embarrassment and staff are unbelievably rude.
Rooms were not clean, complained at reception and was informed a deep clean would take place, the TV was covered in dust as was the telephone and headboard, no deep clean was done here. Bathroom was disgusting, again dirty, room was in a general state of disrepair, tatty, again not anywhere close to 4 star standard.
Entertainment?? This hotel used to be amazing for kids & adults, the entertainment was so bad i don't know where to begin!
The hotel has clearly been cutting back massively yet seems to be pushing for more income via pursuing clientele from other sources outwith Tui and promoting their Skybar for adults only.
They have taken their eye off the ball and it hasn't gone unnoticed.
On course for 3 star status!
Stayed here for 7 nights with my two adult daughters 4th July 26. Can’t fault it. Pool area lovely we always got a bed no matter what time we went down. Some times queues at poolside bar but always moved quickly. Lots of families with children so if you want a quiet poolside not place for you. I like people watching so not issue for me. Activities around pool like water aerobics, polo, volleyball ball darts etc.
Food in restaurant was nice we always found something to eat. Snacks at poolside were also nice.
Didn’t watch evening entertainment as we went out every night so can’t comment on that. Local bars near by with entertainment and a flat walk of about 10 mins down to main strip so good location.
All staff friendly and nice I would definitely stay here again
Food is not great. However you will find something to eat. The staff in dining Room could have more manners. Hotel is nice Rooms clean. Can’t fault it.
Everything was perfect. The cleaner Josephine was absolutely fantastic. All the staff was exceptional.
