I’m just back from two nights at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. I had one of the apartments on the 9th floor of the separate block. It was well equipped and spacious. I just ate breakfast which was ok. The hot food could have been a lot better but it was still possible to find enough to do. The staff were friendly. It seemed to be quite popular with older Spanish tourists. The location was excellent, just a five minute walk to the beach.
I'm now sat up all night because the reckless cleaner never told anyone she ripped my cpap machine across the room when making up the bed. Receptionist agreed to order a new pipe from a medical centre, three more sleepless nights. Receptionist refused to replace the split mask so the machine didn't work for the week we were there. Wondering where he took his medical degree?? Another receptionist lied and told me they ordered the mask, they admitted later they didn't. Another staff member abused me to my wife because I was shouting, yes, I was, at their arrogance and incompetence. REALLY?? They don't want you to sleep here. Been annoyed by a deep low frequency vibration through the building all night. It's 4am and I gave up and had a walk around. There's a huge exhaust pipe coming out of the ground and the diesel pool heaters been running since about midnight. Deafening down there. Unbelievable. No entertainment unless you're 70+ and Spanish. Food I wouldn't serve our dog! Cheapest sausage and bacon I've ever seen. Final straw... We were out early to catch our coach to the airport, waited upto an hour and nothing. Went back into the hotel to be told by another dim receptionist that they had a change of pick up time for us but it didn't occur to them to tell us. On purpose?? Made SIX calls to the manager today and were met with lies again, she had no intention of speaking to us. The bank will sort this hotel out now.
Stayed in the Apartment to the Hotel was clean plenty of space lacked a Toaster considering it is Self catering Negative all Entertainment was only for the locals not for British Tourists Bar Staff not very Friendly when we checked out the Gentleman at Front Desk was rude would not stay here again.
Very nice hotel, let down by the reception where the gentleman stated we were no longer guests in the Hotel on checkout and as such we couldn't leave our bags in the secure baggage room !
Firstly this hotel is in a fantastic location for anyone wanting easy quick access to the strip, beach and restaurants.
The rooms were lovely and tidy and very modern.
The hotel is clearly very popular with the older Spanish residents whom were quite judgemental to us younger English folk there for a fun time!
The pool and loungers were always clean and there was always sun beds free so that was a bonus,
The bad points…
The restaurant is TINY with a VERY SMALL selection of food at all three meal times (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
On the first day at breakfast we found maggots in the ‘fresh’ fruit which completely put us off fruit for the rest of our stay, on the second day we stayed safe and had mostly salad at lunch time to which I then found dead fruit flies in the salad (lettuce and pasta salads) after this we were running out of ‘safe’ food options especially as the choice was very limited and we aren’t fussy eaters so that says a lot!!
There was no daytime entertainment (not even music) by the pool which made it rather boring so we quietly played our own which was not well received by the Spanish guests (it was very appropriate and sensible music with no swearing or bad language at a reasonable volume)
It’s a lovely hotel that’s clean in a great location but the restaurant really needs to be investigated as it was very poor. 1/10
