It is the most emblematic of Benidorm and the tallest hotel in Europe. With stunning architecture, restaurants and pool area including a large lagoon pool ,also a children's pool. The rooms and suites offer a perfect combination of design, functionality and comfort. They are modern and comfortable rooms, all outdoors. *** CHILDREN: 2 TO 12 YEARS
I was accompanying a group of young sportsmen who were removed from the hotel due to a minimal misunderstanding. The hotel management was extremely unprofessional, rude, aggressive and refused to hear what the children and their guardians had to say, claiming the only way to resolve the dilema was by banishing the athletes, from the hotel, despite some of them not being accompanied by family. Prior to this incident the hotel had also banished 40 athletes for no absolute reason. Both of these situations were unprofessional and only demonstrated how the hotel cares about profit in comparison to the comfort and satisfaction of their guests.
Everything is perfect except the elevators.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know what to expect.
From the moment we arrived, what should have been an enjoyable stay quickly turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. We had repeated issues throughout our stay, and despite making every effort to raise them with the hotel, we have since been completely ignored by management.
The room itself was in a poor state. The balcony was crumbling and unpleasant to sit on, there was dried drink residue left outside, and the overall condition felt tired and neglected. To make matters worse, we discovered dirty socks stuffed over the smoke detector, which was shocking from both a cleanliness and safety perspective.
The Wi-Fi was absolutely dreadful. It was unreliable, constantly dropping out, and almost unusable for much of our stay. In this day and age, that's simply not acceptable for a hotel of this size and supposed standard.
There was also an unpleasant sewage-type smell around the lift area, and the noise levels from the corridors and outside made it difficult to relax. We repeatedly tried contacting reception from our room but either couldn't get through or the calls were disconnected. We eventually gave up because we had tickets booked for the Benidorm Palace that evening and couldn't spend our holiday waiting around trying to report issues.
The most disappointing part has been the complete lack of customer service after our stay. I have photographic and video evidence of the problems, yet management has chosen to ignore my complaint entirely. I've even escalated the matter because my emails have gone unanswered, which says everything about how they value their guests once they've checked out.
This hotel may look impressive from the outside, but unfortunately the experience didn't match the appearance. Poor maintenance, poor communication, dreadful Wi-Fi, and an apparent lack of concern for customer satisfaction mean I would not recommend staying here. There are far better hotels in Benidorm that genuinely care about their guests.
It was the most wonderful hotel experience I have ever had. The view from the 38th floor was absolutely incredible. The hotel also has two glass lifts, so you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery while going up and down.
The food was excellent, with an amazing variety of dishes. We would have needed extra stomachs to taste everything on offer! I especially loved the freshly squeezed orange juice, made directly from fresh oranges, and the cakes were absolutely delicious.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helped us book a wonderful trip to Valencia. The entire hotel truly lives up to its name—it is "Grand" in every sense. Despite its size, there was plenty of space around the large swimming pool and in the restaurants, so it never felt crowded.
Our room was spacious and furnished with solid, high-quality furniture. I particularly appreciated the large wardrobe and the bathroom, which had two separate doors and a lovely red ambient light that created a romantic atmosphere.
The evening shows were very enjoyable, and we especially loved the pianist.
We will definitely return to this hotel and hope to stay in the same room again.
Impressive to look at, from reviews I knew that may have difficulty with reception staff, so was polite but firm in my approach, we got our room on a lower floor but unfortunately no balcony so we relocated to 14th floor our room was lovely great bath, separate shower, lots of toiletries etc included, beds very comfortable, air con ok, tv good and balcony view amazing, food was very average and staff on front desk of restaurant could be short with you, a chaotic meal time atmosphere, animation staff were great with the kids once they got going, singers every night we were there some variety would be good, there was an elder gentleman that would sit at the tables at night with candles ? I think he was connected to the hotel management, I loved how the pools and trees were lit at night , we used the spa at extra cost on 19th floor amazing views, girl on spa reception was very clear of rules, expectations and friendly, roof top bar extra again we didn't bother, we used the taxi rank outside as uber were not as good as when we visited Malaga a few weeks before and more than double or triple a local taxi so stuck with them so glad driver gave me a card, so we could travel in and out of Benidorm, restaurants and shops all 2 min walking distance of hotel, 3 pools to choose from, fourth was empty, we managed ok to get sun loungers, during the fiesta my daughter 8 and myself had a very frightening experience in the pool during the fiesta extremely loud noises like gunshots going off, another guest tried to move us to the exit of the pool as he seemed genuinely very concerned, prior warning from hotel of this would of been helpful my daughter was terrified, our transfers were smooth from the hotel and reception were good at storing our cases, one stood out as very helpful assisting us to weigh our case. There is a snack bar and vending machines so food availability out with restaurant. It was a busy place many many guest needs to cater to so can understand the frustration of reception staff, we had no wifi in room only common areas.
Lifts very small add a extra 10mins onto your planning
Games room functional not sure if air conditioning very hot and felt out of place the building very 70's, there is a fab kids area like soft play, trampolines, small rides for extra cost, its a bit of a tardis, there is a free playground
Over all minus the negative points and as our first ever trip to Benidorm we enjoyed it the hotel gives both luxury feel and budget in some areas.
