- Gran Hotel Bali

It is the most emblematic of Benidorm and the tallest hotel in Europe. With stunning architecture, restaurants and pool area including a large lagoon pool ,also a children's pool. The rooms and suites offer a perfect combination of design, functionality and comfort. They are modern and comfortable rooms, all outdoors. *** CHILDREN: 2 TO 12 YEARS
Hotel looks great but thats all. We got stuck in elevators 3 times in 5 days. They say that they have Wifi available but thats not true. Their answer is always going to be the hotel is full and thats why Wifi doesnt work. Dishes in restaurant are dirty every single time. Every third or fourth one looks like it wasnt cleaned at all. They selectively accept the dress code for lunch, 20 peolple in bikinis are allowed but my wife with dress over bikini wasnt allowed to enter. Its not worth the money.
Currently staying at the Grand Bali. Overall, I would say it’s more of a 3-star hotel. Our room was fairly modern, although the shower flooded because the screen isn’t large enough. A shower tray or a bigger shower screen would definitely help.
If you’re travelling with children, be aware that the pool rules are extremely strict. Don’t waste your money buying a small float, as even a small swimming ring isn’t allowed in the pool. The lifeguards are also very rude and constantly whistling at guests for minor things. I completely understand the need to keep everyone safe, but the rules here feel excessive compared with other hotels I’ve stayed in. The poor kids can hardly have any fun in the pool.
The lifts can also have quite long waiting times during peak periods.
We were staying on a B&B basis, and the breakfast was okay, although nothing particularly special.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this hotel. The main reason is the attitude of the lifeguards and the overly strict pool rules, which really took away from our experience. Safety is important, but there needs to be a balance so that guests, especially children, can actually enjoy their holiday.
Absolutely fabulous and fantastic
My experience at the Gran Bali Hotel was really disappointing. The rooms were in bad condition, and the reception staff was extremely rude. When I requested a room change due to the poor conditions, they said rooms were available, but only if I paid an extra €200. I do not recommend this hotel—it is definitely not worth the money.
My experience at the Gran Bali Hotel was very disappointing. The rooms are in terrible condition and definitely not worth the money. While the location is great and the beach is amazing, I cannot recommend this hotel. The noise levels were high, the cleanliness was barely acceptable, and the food was basic and could be much better. Furthermore, the reception staff was rude and unhelpful. When I requested a room change due to the poor condition of my room, they refused, claiming there were no free rooms available. However, they suddenly had rooms available if I paid an extra €200. I strongly advise against booking this hotel.
