All round excellence
I cannot fault this Hotel. The food, rooms, drinks and entertainment were all excellent. But it is the hard working staff that make this place, they always have a smile on their faces. Special mention for the pool managers, they always managed to get you a bed and a parasol.

Relaxing
Love this hotel have been a few times now. Great location, very helpful and friendly reception staff and housekeeping staff. Security man who worked nights very friendly too. Nice spacious rooms with plenty of storage. Beds good but personally prefer a little softer. Nice large balcony with comfortable seating Don’t eat in restaurant so cannot comment on that. We did use the games room played pool and ping pong which was fun

Definitely 5 stars in Benidorm. A lovely hotel!
We absolutely loved this hotel and are already planning to return.
The rooms are not huge but they are very comfortable with plenty of storage space.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
The majority of staff were friendly and helpful.
We found the food choice and standard really good. The restaurant was never overcrowded and no long queues for anything.
We missed some of the entertainment but the ones we saw were of a high standard and very enjoyable.
The pools are small although I believe this is pretty standard in Benidorm where space is at a premium. There is little opportunity to actually have a proper swim and definitely not allowed any kind of inflatable but it was generally and peaceful and pleasant environment which we appreciated.
Lifts could be a challenge at busy times. Each lift is small and we often found the lifts had filled up before reaching our floor. Not a massive problem but inconvenient and frustrating at times.
The loungers are very close together however beds and parasols were managed very well by the pool staff. We always managed to find a lounger, or the pool staff would help us to find one, no matter what time of day. Therefore no need to fret about reserving beds !
The following points are just thoughts on how a few things would have made our stay even more enjoyable. They are not criticisms, we definitely loved the Don Pancho, but just ideas to really stand out as a true 5 star.

No drinks are served after midnight (not even water or soft drinks) even though for example the TV room was open late for World Cup matches.

The dart board in the games room was not great. It was a ‘safety’ dartboard but the plastic tips kept sticking. We would suggest replacing with a traditional board and taking a deposit to get darts from reception in the same way they deal with table tennis equipment.

Only allowing the exchange of pool towels every 2 days seems unhygienic. Daily, especially in the very hot month, would be much more reflective of a 5 star hotel.

Paying for use of the safe in the bedroom was surprising. The daily charge is so low it almost seems pointless. Just adding it to the overall costs would be better.

There were 2 small bottles of water in the fridge on day 1 but not replenished after that. Surely a couple of bottles could be included daily?
Bowling wasn’t available at all while we were there which was disappointing

We were welcomed back at reception, this hotel is first class Staff are amazing as is the food Stefan and his stand in work so hard round the pool to make sure you have a bed and keep you in the shade The prices are so reasonable in the bars The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard We will be back

Don Pancho an absolute easy 5 star
I stayed at Don Pancho the end of June for a week, and cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff are so caring and helpful and are worth their weight in gold. Nothing is to much trouble. While we was there the temperature was never any lower than 40 degrees. The pool man was exceptional he was running about making sure everyone had a sunbed and umbrella if you wanted one. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent absolutely spotless. The food absolutely beautiful. I was there as part of a hen party being mother of the bride the hens stayed at another hotel as they only came out Thursday to Sunday, but it made my trip staying here even more special. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The only thing I could criticise is one of the acts they had on one of the nights she was shocking she murdered some really good songs and could not sing for toffee.
