I have to say the food rooms every where were clean and very well run. I was unwell on Thursday of this week and got up really early so I decided to go and get a spot by the pool.
The doors are closed until 830 so I was very near the front to get 2 beds there are some really lovely ones around the edge of the small pool. I would have been able to get one of these beds but there was a particular man who I watched from my balcony everyday sprint with about 8 towels to get all the nice beds. I was livid to see a Women who sat with them behind me in the line chuck her towels to him to save her the best spots. I did report this to the reception due to the unfair behaviour of this man, there are lots of elderly people who need a bed and I get one bed and got up at the crack of dawn to reserve it, but not like 7 or 8 beds. Shame the hotel allowed this behaviour I was informed by the receptionist she will report to the pool manager.
Great staff
What can I say about Ambassador Playa 2? The hotel is absolutely spotless, with beautifully decorated rooms finished to a very high standard. We had a pool-facing room on the 8th floor overlooking the strip. The view was fantastic, and once the balcony doors were closed, we hardly heard any noise. Sitting on the balcony people-watching was definitely one of our favourite things!
The food is plentiful and delicious, with breakfast definitely being the highlight. Everything is regularly replenished, and the staff throughout the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar staff work extremely hard to make sure everyone is served quickly.
The pool area is clean, with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. As a non-smoker, I did find the smoking around the pool a little uncomfortable. Also, for anyone travelling with limited mobility, the pool can be difficult to get in and out of as the final step is quite high.
The entertainment was generally very good, although there were a couple of acts we weren’t particularly impressed with.
A special mention has to go to Ruben on reception. We had a terrible start when our suitcase was accidentally taken by someone else. The driver told us to wait until the next morning, but Ruben immediately contacted ABAS and within 20 minutes had located our case. He went above and beyond and was a real credit to the hotel.
Overall, we’ve had a fantastic stay. Great hotel, great food, amazing staff and a brilliant location. We would definitely recommend Ambassador Playa 2 and would happily return!

Very basic hotel in superb location
Great location . Rooms nicely decorated. Regularly cleaned.Had to request shower & shampoo supplies several times as not replenished daily. Check in very poor with very limited information. Reception staff not all that friendly but not directly rude. Pool area really congested but understandable as very large hotel. Entertainment very poor standard except for evening host. Restaurant very efficient and always found something to eat although not always the tastiest. I did like the drinks concept of going to bar yourself. I don’t agree with the charge of €20 for safely deposit hire. No extra hangers are available. Ironing board requested (€20 deposit with 2hr hire time) Basic hotel in a great location

Wonderful week at the Ambassador 2!
Just home from a wonderful week at the Ambassador Playa 2. Spotless, modern, spacious hotel in an unbeatable location. Everything you need is on your doorstep and the Old Town is just a walk away. The food was excellent - plenty of variety, very tasty, fresh and something to suit everyone. Very friendly staff in the dining room. No problems getting sun loungers, at any time of the day, which was refreshing! We had a twin room, which was spotlessly clean, very modern and fresh - plenty of room to move around. Very comfy beds and pillows! Surprisingly very little noise from the bars below. The pink balconies are so cute and make the hotel stand out from the rest! Visited the hotel spa for a Thai massage, which was absolutely outstanding and such a lovely experience. The Thai masseuses are amazing. Highly recommend booking a treatment here! The spa itself is also fabulous, with heated pools, jacuzzi, steam room, ice room and heated beds - and so relaxing. The only 1 small critique I have about the Ambassador 2 is regarding the spa staff - we encountered 3 different spa reception staff during our stay, all of whom were unpleasant, unhelpful and grumpy. I do feel this is something that needs to be addressed as the rest of the spa experience was first rate.
Fabulous stay at ambassador playa 2
Just home from a 1 week stay at the Ambassador Playa 2 and it was a fantastic stay. All staff we came in to contact with were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them a particular mention to Veronica who cleaned our room daily and our room was immaculate, she was so polite, friendly & is an asset to the hotel.
Pool area is very clean, there was never an issue getting a sunbed at any time of day.
The restaurant again was spotless , we never once seen dirty plates left on tables etc staff again friendly & on the ball. Breakfast was delicious with the added bonus of british back bacon. Lots of choice , all hot and fresh also.
We stayed in a pool view room, perfect for people watching in the evening & you can also enjoy the evening entertainment from the balcony also. One thing I would say is if you like to go to bed early the entertainment is on until around 1130 pm so is noisy until that point but fine after this, we didnt really hear any noise from bars etc once balcony doors were closed.
Overall this is a fantastic hotel in a perfect location with amazing staff. We will be back in the future.
