Excellent location Easy access to beach, restaurants, old town Calpe. Also near major roads in and out of town. Hotel is mainly directed at families. Atmosphere was very family friendly. Pool areas in particular aimed at families and larger groups/family groups. Predominantly Spanish families while we were staying (as is usual with the local resort) this meant that the children’s entertainment/kids club was full of Spanish speaking children. Our children did not attend due to this, this by no means spoiled our stay as our children would rarely use kids clubs anyway, but it is worth noting that for anyone looking to use these facilities. This was also true of the evening disco/entertainment. We did not visit.
We stayed in a Suitopia room with terrace as a family of two adult and two children aged 6&8. Room was perfect! We were on floor 10, classed as standard, non sea view, but we “lucked” out with being able to view the sea through buildings nearby. Ours room was by far the main highlight. We had a place to escape the afternoon heat with the children. The air conditioning was amazing and there was plenty of room for us all to relax as a family. We even tried to extend our stay here but the hotel/rooms were all booked up. Our weekday housemaid was amazing. She made such a big fuss of the children and they enjoy seeing what position she’d arranged their soft toys in every day. Even though she had very little English, she definitely made the children feel welcome and gave the. A “high five” every time she seen them. Our room was spotless after every visit. The main bedroom bed was HUGE and by far the most comfortable bed I’d ever had at a hotel! The sofa bed mattress always also very good and the children slept really well. Smart TVs in both rooms was also a good send when they wanted to watched different shows!!! We did pay the supplement to use the kitchen facade to having a child with additional sensory needs, we needed to be able to cook food in the room. We also need to refrigerate medication and the smaller drinks cooler would not have been sufficient We paid €132 for 7days stay. The fridge freezer is full size and the kitchen itself is really spacious with plenty of storage.
We stayed bed and breakfast and can honestly say the selection and standard of the food was by far the best is probably ever had for a breakfast Buffet. So much variety and options of fresh eggs/omlettes. Definitely better to get there before 9:30am as after this time there did tend to be large queues. We will definitely stay again and possibly go half board as the food was that good. Local restaurants were a bit of a hit and miss in our opinion but plenty of options to try nearby.
We did not use the pool bar for food. We did have drinks and some take away chicken goujons and chips (which were lovely) the main bar tender only seemed to enjoy serving those who spoke Spanish. Again. This did not affect our stay at all. Just meant I sent my husband for drinks !!
All in all, we cannot wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!
We stayed for 7 nights as a family of 4 bed and breakfast. Rooms are gorgeous, spacious and cleaned everyday. They have a pillow menu and a choice of smells for your room when it has been cleaned. Breakfast was so good. So much choice for everyone. The fresh eggs station is great and staff are friendly there. The pool area is fantastic for children. You can get clean pool towels each day. Reception staff are always on hand to help. We visited the spa and it was lovely. The staff in the spa really go above and beyond. The sky bar has amazing views and cocktails. There is a kids clubs and lots of activies throughout the day for young children, older children and teens. There is a dj, saxophone player or singer on an evening plus other shows. We had a slight issue with our electric in the fridge however this was sorted straight away. We have already booked to return as Calpe and this hotel are fantastic.
Great hotel very clean. Plenty of sunbeds close to the beach and restaurants. Great location with great views from your balcony. Restaurant is really expensive if you are room only 40 euros a person what is really expensive imo. That's with no drink included as well. Loads of restaurants a lot cheaper so priced themselves out of business.could do with some music around the pool as quite at times.
This was a pleasant 10 day stay and the hotel has some great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always a table available. The pool area was also nice, a large pool and separate children’s play area and also another infinity pool by the pool bar. Always a sun bed available and staff were great. Special mention to Wong who kept the cocktails flowing and was very nice. (The drinks are a bit pricey) The cleaner who cleaned our room was also lovely. There is a beach across the road from the hotel which was a huge bonus. The hotel also arranged a birthday surprise with the bed covered in balloons and a cake in the evening. Children also had a play room with a ping ping table and several consoles. The only flaw is that the entertainment was not great at all… otherwise this was a great holiday destination.
Stayed for one week upgraded to a suite after 1 night as felt the standard room was very small. We moved to floor 27 overlooking the sea the views were beautiful. The suite itself was very spacious with separate bedroom large bathroom with bath and separate shower, large kitchen area and lounge area and the housekeeping service was excellent. HOWEVER what we were not told until afterwards was using the kitchen ( we needed the fridge for cold drinks) came at an extra cost of 75 euros! everything was switched off! We had already paid 492 euros to upgrade to the suite on questioning this we were told that is the rules! I think this is appalling l have stayed in many hotel suites around the world some better that this one and have never ever had to pay for the use of the kitchen area absolutely disgraceful. We also had to pay 20euros for kettle! this was refundable but l have never had to do that either. On a plus side the hotel is really lovely it’s in a great spot a few minutes walk to the front and convenient for absolutely everything. Nice pool area and no silly sun-bed reserving which was great. Breakfast was good with plenty choice although chaotic. There is also a beautiful Sky bar on the top floor 29 with great cocktails and fabulous views. Besides feeling ripped off regarding the kitchen scenario we had a good stay
