Hotel RH Ifach

We have been to RH Ifach on previous occasions because we have never been able to find fault with it but reading reviews over the last few weeks we were slightly worried before we returned. I have absolutely no idea what reviews are complaining about. As always we have enjoyed our holiday so here is the review. We booked a standard room with Jet2 holidays. 3 adults in 1 room on an all inclusive package. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hanging and storage space, TV, kettle with a supply of coffee, mini fridge & free safe. Balcony lovely, bathroom I would say larger than average with 2 sinks - we had a bath but on other occasions a walk in shower. Hairdryer. Shampoo and conditioner provided with some tissues and toothbrush. Lovely thin towels changed every day for us. The room was spotless everyday. Dining:- there is everything you could want, at breakfast, cooked, cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, eggs cooked how you like. At evening meal a theme each night eg Mexican, roasts etc, salads, pizzas, paella, vegetables, cheeses, desserts, ice cream I couldn’t write a review long enough, there is so much to choose from. The dining room staff during the whole of our stay immediately took our drinks orders (included in AI), kept our table tidy and were a pleasure. Food was replenished when need be. All I would say is if you want a 5 star restaurant dining experience don’t come because it’s not that, it’s a self service AI restaurant. One person had said in their review they were ignored and didn’t get offered a drink - I never observed this and if you asked staff for top ups they were there asap The all inclusive package is the best I’ve experienced anywhere, no cheap cans all branded, branded beers, cocktails made in front of you, sangria, spirits etc The pool and area is spotless plenty of sunbeds at anytime. The pool bar staff are great. The groundsmen empty bins continually, cleaning the pool toilets and keeping everything tidy. You can hire pool towels for a €10 deposit which you get back at the end of your stay. Will we return - yes.

Amazing food staffand drinks .very clean lovely atmosphere will return xx

We booked this hotel, having read mostly positive reviews, and we had stayed before, but on this occasion we were disappointed. The staff are lovely people, kind and attentive. The bedroom was large, with two queen size beds. Large bathroom, but unfortunately nowhere to hang clothes. The standard of house-keeping was good. A very pleasant, large pool area, with plenty of sun beds. Also a nice terrace area with attentive staff. Sadly, this is all rather let down by the dining experience. The food was nowhere-near hot enough and tended to be devoid of taste, particularly vegetables – “frying” frequently described as “grilling”. On several occasions our chicken was undercooked – dangerous! At breakfast, a large, open bowl of porridge was placed exactly where guests wait for eggs to be fried (also conveniently at child coughing-sneezing height. Unbelievable! Food on offer was not replenished speedily enough, and sometimes not at all. Plates stacked, again, at child height. Allowing them to run hands across the tops of every one on the shelf. – we witnessed this repeatedly. Some food choices were unhygienically available at child height. For example I spotted a child grabbing a handful of sprinkled chocolate from one of the bowls, bypassing the spoons, cramming it into his mouth then enthusiastically repeating the process! It is a pity that, for us, meal times not at all enjoyable – the dining room was, at times, like a transport cafe! We shall not return!
