Eh. It’s fine. It’s not a 5 star hotel by any stretch. The location is convenient, but the rooms are dingy and charmless.
It does not have 24 hour room service - despite it being advertised all over their website. The food was pretty mid anyway.
There’s also a lot of silly nonsense - taking a cash deposit for a parking pass (when you also have to pay for parking) and the room not being ready (and getting no text or call when it was ready). The roof pool is lovely though.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad place to stay at all given the convenience, close parking and the roof pool. But it’s simply not 5 star quality and you should set your expectations accordingly.
Stayed for a long weekend recently, despite the initial confusion of accessing via a shopping centre. Great location In the centre of Funchal Most places walkable and easily get to the main parts in 10-20mins
Welcome from reception was great and the staff are friendly and always at hand
Our room was on the fifth floor with a view over the city and the sea Bed was comfortable modern and room was super clean and well appointed, shower was great
Breakfast was amazing and we ate in the hotel for the fixed price buffet evening which was again great quality and service
Roof top bar and pool are worth a visit the view in the daytime or at night is lovely and the staff are great
Definitely would stay here again
Nice room on level 5 with a bathtub. Lots of brown and tan decor that seems a strange choice. Lots of closets but no bedside table or device charging near the bed. Could do with more power outlets. €20 for parking each day seems a bit greedy. Breakfast quite decent- especially if you order omelette - but the bacon is weirdly plastic.
Dirty! The cleaning lady put the already used and on the floor of the bathroom thrown towel back for use! Old used coffee mug was not replaced by a clean one. Very unhappy!!!
Everything perfect apart from missing sign highlighting to cleaners our room needed bedding and towels changed .luckily for us a more experienced honest cleaner highlighted this many thanks to her
