Nice hotel but don’t bother with Il Galo d’Oro
The hotel is nice, good rooms, very clean, nice pools and seafront area, good facilities. The Avista restaurant is nice but don’t bother with the 2-Michelin star Il Gallo d’Oro restaurant, we were extremely disappointed with our meal there. In Madeira and particularly the Funchal area there are so many incredible restaurants, take advantage of those instead!

Wonderful experience
The Hotel is absolutely fabulous , it was our first time to Madeira we will be going back. I thoroughly recommend the hotel , 80% of the people we talked to had been there numerous times . The restaurants are very good with a varied choice of dishes.

Top hotel
The staff add a warmth and a smile to the perfect setting of this hotel. Every aspect of this hotel exceeded our expectations, from the pre visit communications, through tour and taxi organisation to the excellent food in the many restaurants. Would definitely recommend and it is on my list to return
