Beautiful hotel
Just back from a weeks holiday at this beautiful hotel, from check in to check out the service was excellent. Resaurants for breakfast lovely and The Cliff bar each evening 5-6 was happy hour and each day had entertainment during this time, nice pre dinber drinks. Pool areas and sun bathing areas really nice plenty of comfy sunbeds. Pool staff always on hand to help and all staff in the hotel helpful and friendly. You can see why so many people go back to this hotel time and time again. We will be returning

Great hotel, great staff - very helpful, friendly and courteous. Food was to the highest standard and catered to everyone.
Wonderful
There is something about this hotel that I love. Is it the location? The warm, friendly staff? The large well equipped bedroom with a massive comfortable bed? The food, wine, service? The pools, gardens and little private spaces? The other guests? It is all of it! Whenever I come to Madeira, this is where I want to be.
Superb spot!
Just spent over a week here with family and very impressed. Although our first time here, it won’t be our last. Very large family rooms with spectacular views of Funchal bay. Breakfast top class. Pool area very comfortable with loads of sunbeds. Staff exceptionally friendly and always willing to help.

Five star experience
The Cliff Bay is a genuine 5 star hotel, offering a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was clear that the management team had worked hard to develop consistency across the resort.
The location was ideal for us, offering amazing views to go with its excellent facilities and within easy walking distance of a variety of of local restaurants as well as into Funchal.
Rooms were spotless, spacious and beautifully presented.
Over our stay there were one or two minor issues which were quickly sorted without fuss.
Look forward to returning.
