The hotel is located in the best area of Funchal, situated roughly 500 m away from the sea and the saltwater swimming pool, Lido, and around 2 kms the centre. The nearest shops, bars and restaurants are around 10 minutes away on foot. The airport is located within 22 kms. This apartment hotel was renovated in 2008 and comprises a total of 43 guestrooms. The tasteful, modern studios and apartments all come with an en suite bathroom, a kitchenette with a microwave, a fridge, a 2 plate electric stove, kettle, cutlery and crockery. In addition, individually adjustable air conditioning and a balcony are also provided in all accommodation as standard. The roof of the building features a heated swimming pool and a roof terrace with sun loungers with covers, parasols and a beautiful sea view. The hotel grounds feature a sauna and a hot tub.

Great place to stay
We loved our stay here. Warm welcome. Good sized room for two people. Spotlessly clean. Kitchen are was really adequate for our needs. Beds look firm, but they are very comfy. Had excellent sleep. Quite hotel, really good area to walk to bars and restaurants. We did the walk into Funchal most days. There is a steep hill but you can easily get the bus. All staff very friendly. Roof top pool very clean, lovely suntrap with good views.
Keep all paperwork and take screen shots to avoid double charges.
Nice hotel but extra charges spoiled the stay. Despite a booking that said it included the tourist tax and parking we had to pay for both again. Our fault for not taking screenshots of the booking at various stages in the process. The manager was available but we never heard from them about our concerns. Interestingly they acted on part of the comments we submitted at booking but ignored the rest about the paid parking. It’s also a little noisy because of street traffic.
Excellent hotel
Booked via Jet2 and Hayes Travel. We have been to Madeira over 30 times and have stayed in many hotels in and around the island. This hotel is up with the best, clean and tidy rooms, the variety at Breakfast was terrific, help yourself or have something cooked especially for you. The pool, hot tub and sauna on the roof was never crowded and had a honesty bar. Staff were brilliant. To sum up, Thank you Terrace Mar Suite hotel. We will be back

Great location for this lovely hotel
We loved this place .We arrived by bus from airport , I knew where to get off as I had researched it on google maps earlier and remembered some landmarks I think it was stop 43 we got off at . Our spacious room was on first floor and bed very comfy. We had a small balcony , lots of choice at breakfast and there’s also a small menu if you want omelettes or other food that isn’t laid out. Small pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop , there is an honesty bar up there for drinks and ice creams Great bar on the corner of the street which had live music each night, small supermarket past the bar . New shopping centre further on but not fully opened when we there Cross over by sun city and walk down past Lido hotel and you can walk along the prom . Restaurants really good , if you turn left when coming out of hotel and walk up the street you will find even more places to eat . We would definitely return to this hotel

Would always recommend! Warm, welcoming and great!
I had an amazing stay here! It was a mother and daughter get away. The hotel is in an amazing location, with plenty of restaurants nearby, supermarket too. Beach is nearby. Local transport too, although we took ubers- it was only £6 to the marina. The room was clean, nice looking, cleaners came everyday. Breakfast was good - not fancy but had everything you needed, meats, fruits, buns, croissants and pastries. On request you got freshly made omelettes and crepes. The staff were super helpful and nice. Sauna, jacuzzi and a little pool were available until 10 pm - all included! Sunset on the rooftop was beautiful! Loved it- would always recommend!
