Lovely quite relaxing hotel
Loved the hotel, quite peaceful and relaxing. Room lovely bathroom could do with updating, a lot of guests are elderly so level access showers would be better than climbing into a bath to shower . Main pool lovely, pool very cold, spa area very nice with steam room and sauna, only complaint is pool beds are uncomfortable and need cushions although they can be hired, unfortunately I wasn’t aware of this until day 3 of my stay and it appears not many guests were. I’m sure they would pay for themselves if they were hired out for a nominal fee.

Beautiful relaxing hotel
I love it here! It’s very relaxed with lovely staff. The gardens and pools are beautiful and we had such a great holiday celebrating a big birthday. Breakfast is great and a lovely start to the day sitting outside and taking time to enjoy the lovely food and huge pot of coffee with friendly and attentive staff. We love everything about this hotel and can’t wait to go back next year! Thank you!

Perfectly relxing for couples
Well established high quality aparthotel. We have ben visiting for thirty years and the quality has been consistent. A bit pricey but worth paying. eserved yet attentive in a Portugueses style.

A great hotel
A really lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Centrally placed in the hotel area with plenty of restraunts close by. The speciality dining experiences are well worth trying. Their customer loyalty scheme is also generous.
Lovely, well positioned hotel with a range of excellent facilities
This is a wonderful hotel with superb facilities and an outstanding staff team. Food was excellent and the location was great near walkways into Funchal or Churchill Bay. We truly relaxed and enjoyed the hotel’s beautiful gardens and range of facilities. This is our third stay with the Portobay Group in Madeira and we have already booked to return.
