Our happy place run by exceptional people
We’ve just returned from our 6th visit to this lovely city centre hotel. As usual we were greeted as friends by Reception girls Priscilla and Fatima, also Andre’ hotel manager, as well as being treated to a drink and catch up with owner Ivo and Andre’ They all go the extra mile to make your stay special, there are a few types of room depending on your requirements. They all have the same attention to detail including coffee machines and fridges. Breakfast served with a smile by Anna and staff is very varied to everyone’s taste although I do think an extra coffee machine would be an asset! The hotel is within touching distance of the wonderful Cathedral, restaurants, shops and the seafront. We love it and think you would too!

Cosy & friendly
Trendy but relaxing hotel. Located in the historical center close to shops and restaurants, bus stop and seaside. Colorful design lobby and premises, friendly staff. Very nice rooftop bar where life music is being presented. Breakfast is daily fresh. The restaurant next door belongs to the hotel is also recommendable for food and drinks.

Gorgeous place
Gorgeous decoration in the hotel lobby, rooms and especially the rooftop bar (which we were given a free drink voucher for upon check-in). Great location as is in centre of Funchal. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Great location, helpful staff and great food. Quiet fir such a central location . Will definitely be returning.
Ok 3 star. No such thing as a superior room.
An ok hotel but sadly didn't meet my expectations of my booking or a 4* hotel. I booked a "superior room" to find on arrival the tiniest of rooms with no cupboards, no daylight and barely space to put luggage on the floor. Bathroom behind a glass wall with a curtain that doesn't cover it very well. I spoke to reception who said they don't have a superior room, only standard or standard plus which can vary in size, well this one was clearly only a standard. We did get moved to a bigger room after one night which was much better. Its worth knowing that all standard/superior rooms face inwards so no daylight at all.
Breakfast was ok, rooms a bit tired and things like shower gel and teabags not replenished.
The best thing though is the location, it's perfect for exploring Funchal and handy for enjoying all the restaurants and bars. Staff were also friendly and helpful.
