A Cozy City Surprise
We booked the Pestana Quinta Perestrello through Jet2 when it was still new, with hardly any reviews online, so we really didn't know what to expect.
What we found was a wonderfully cozy and comfortable spot right in the city. It doesn't feel like a big hotel—it has the warm, quiet charm of a traditional quinta. We felt a genuine sense of comfort here, like a real home base in Funchal.
For a new hotel, it's a lovely, peaceful find. We're very glad we chose it.
Not having breakfast included would be even better
A welcoming "house" near the center of Funchal with incredible decor. The only downside is that we had to go to the adjacent hotel for breakfast (and have hot meals on request).
Great stay
The location is great, quite close to the old town. Always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful all the time. The rooms on the north side are a little cold when the weather isn’t nice though. It’s close to the ocean, cafes and shops. The buffet selection is pretty good too
Great time
The hotel is what you would expect from a 4 star hotel, it was characterful and the staff were very friendly. We were given a free upgrade to a suite overlooking the harbour as me and my wife were celebrating a special birthday. The hotel is a good 20 minutes walk to the centre of Funchal down a steep hill and there is plenty to see and do once you are there. We were very lucky that the classic car show was on for 3 days during our stay. Overall we had a fantastic stay P and J
Holidays
Really good hotel! The staff were very nice, the animation team was fun, and the food was very good too. Everything was great and made the stay even better. I would definitely come back!
