Once a grand family home, this charming 18th century property is located in the lush green hills surrounding Funchal, facing south over the surrounding landscape and out to the sea on the horizon. The hotel is situated at the heart of over 6.4 acres of botanical gardens, just in front of a magnificent partially covered swimming pool and its surrounding sun terrace.
The hotel combines modern comforts with excellent facilities, whilst the elegant and traditional surroundings evoke the glamour of old Madeira. Guests will enjoy both a refined and relaxed atmosphere in addition to easy access to Funchal town centre which is just 1.5km away.

This is second time we have visited this stunning hotel. The location is outstanding with a peaceful atmosphere and caring and happy staff who are always available to assist. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated with an air beauty and peace. Many thanks for everything whilst we stayed at your excellent value accommodation

A Little Slice of Heaven
This was our second time staying at Quinta Jardins do Lago, and we love everything about this beautiful hotel. It is a lovely, quiet, and relaxing place to unwind and recharge, and you truly won't want to leave. We came back to celebrate a special birthday.
The rooms are wonderful, and I highly recommend booking the junior suite for an extra bit of comfort. I love the old antique four poster bed and beautiful luxurious old world upholstery of the chairs. The food throughout our stay was beautiful and fresh, and I especially loved the table service at breakfast. And of course the giant fluttering butterflies near the flowers at breakfast is just magical. Colombo's Bistro by the pool is another fantastic spot for a meal or a drink. We also love the games room.
The staff are all so lovely and welcoming, making every moment of the stay seamless. Beyond the hospitality, the garden is absolutely stunning and clearly maintained with so much love and care. The colours and array of flowers is absolutely magnificent, a feast for the senses and good for the soul. Of course, no visit is complete without seeing Colombo, their beautiful and friendly resident tortoise! She is so beautiful.
They offer a shuttle service to Madeira but trust me you won't want to leave.
A quick little tip for anyone traveling to Madeira: make sure to bring a tropical insect repellent containing DEET.

Fantastic place to stay!
Wow! What a great holiday we had! Food was excellent! The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Our room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Really appreciated the soothing live music at dinner in the evening. The grounds and facilities are excellent too. I’ve recommended this Quinta to my friends. So, what are you waiting for? Go on and book your holiday here, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!
