A piece of heaven
We have just checked into this hotel after spending nights at another so-called 4-star hotel, but this one is the real deal!
Everything here is beautiful and relaxing, and the staff are genuinely engaged, kind, and service-minded.

Another lovely holiday at the Porto Mare
We have stayed at this hotel on several occasion. Always found it to be a nice friendly experience. Staff good and helpful. Good pool area and very well kept gardens.

Porto Mar Funchal - as a base for lovely late summer adventure
Arrived at Porto Mare Funchal 5 October for our first visit to Madeira & loved it. Great room with pool and sea view near reception. Bed & breakfast as we could walk into & pay any buffet evenings ( did 3) or walk to a variety of restaurants inc sea front for sunset cocktails & food inc hotels specialist restaurants. Daytime we had plenty of choice in extensive pool, sunbed, exotic garden/ banana trees areas. The hotel also has the best spa with walk in indoor / outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym - no booking needed. Evenings were good as best local live bands in area played in hotel bar 9 pm every night so we always had a listen and drink. There’s a nice coast walk to fishing village for seafood supper about 2-3 miles and taxi back. We did the cable car, camino toboggan, Levada north, local bus to town centro frequent and cheap. Shopped at the Forum a local modern centre - it’s a short walk. All in all we had a ball! Madeira is beautiful with its hills, mountains, terraced gardens and flowers We will be back next year 😎

Porto Mare holiday break
Had a wonderful break in Maderia - we stayed in Porte Mare Hotel, which was ideally situated between Funchal and Câmara de Lobos. We enjoyed a number of trips including a special event at Tico Vineyards which was just amazing. Splendid holiday that we really enjoyed.
Second great visit.
Second stay and will definitely be back. Very relaxing stay. Lovely pools/gardens. Asked for a room close to lifts (mobility) and were allocated exactly that. All staff happy and helpful. No negatives. Breakfast and dinner was of good to excellent quality. Would recommend.
