Amazing
There arent enough words to express how wonderful this hotel and it's staff is! The hotel is wonderful and its facilities amazing, from the rooftop bar to the beach and swimming pool area with its restaurant. Next to the ocean with great view and very well located to walk to the city center. The staff deserve also a classification on their own, 6 stars! We did have a different room than the one expected and their dedication to solve it promptly and exchange us the room was superb. All of them were just brilliant. Confess it was way over what we expected and hope to return next time we are in Madeira! The only thing worth mentioning was the glass on the bathroom wall always lighted the room and would wake anyone with lightsleep. Anyway we still think its a 5 star hotel!

Decent Stay, but Several Areas Need Improvement
We stayed at NEXT Savoy Signature Funchal for 4 nights and booked a 2-bedroom apartment.
The apartment itself was decent, but it was located in a separate building next to the main hotel. Our apartment was on the 5th floor, and there was no straightforward access, which made getting in and out quite difficult, especially with luggage.
Breakfast was okay, but nothing special and not quite what we expected from a hotel like this. The parking layout was also very tight and poorly structured. Unfortunately, someone hit our rental car while it was parked there, which resulted in us having to deal with the rental car deposit/damage charges.
On the positive side, the hotel gives a €25 daily voucher to spend at the hotel, which was a really nice benefit and something we appreciated.
Housekeeping could definitely be improved. On some days, the towels weren't replaced, and we felt the apartment wasn't cleaned properly.
Overall, it was an okay experience. There are some good aspects, particularly the daily voucher, but considering the access to the apartment, parking situation, average breakfast and inconsistent housekeeping, we expected a better stay.
Fantastic food, location with direct sea access!
The highlights We had a lovely 7 day stay at this hotel during July. We found the food options and standards exceptional, this was a real highlight of our trip. Sea view room on the 9th floor in the main building was large, modern and very clean. Bed was huge. Access to balcony with dining set. The roof top pool, main pool and direct access to the sea was another highlight. We found sun-loungers easily every day. Towels included. Fantastic location.
What I would review/ improve Additional charges - A 10% service charge was added to each bill. It’s down as optional but I would prefer to add it rather than remove this. Although we did experience good service, it wasn’t exceptional. And although good, it was not on every occasion. There was a €15 per day charge to park and spaces were like gold dust. The smell - although not persistent always/ everywhere. There is a drain smell when crossing the bridge from the main hotel to the pool area. Small niggles, we requested a bottle opener for the room but were told we had to bring drinks to the bar to open (a journey!) so bring one with you. We were also staying for a special occasion, I emailed the hotel in advance, asking to arrange a small surprise. This was confirmed but never showed on the day. Not the end of the world but disappointing.
Would we visit again. YES.
Small note there is an evening dj at the roof top pool. They finish at 11.30 every evening and we had no problem with the noise being on a top floor.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at NEXT Hotel Madeira
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at NEXT Hotel Madeira and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their excellent service made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay.
The rooms were modern, stylish, spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The hotel itself has a wonderful atmosphere and is beautifully maintained.
The location is absolutely perfect, with stunning views and easy access to Funchal, local attractions, restaurants and everything Madeira has to offer. It was an ideal base for exploring this beautiful island while also being a fantastic place to relax and unwind.
The staff, rooms and location were all exceptional, and our stay exceeded our expectations. We made some wonderful memories and would return without hesitation.
Thank you to everyone at NEXT Hotel Madeira for making our holiday so special. A truly outstanding hotel and a well-deserved five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
