Loved everything about the hotel, very clean, friendly staff, lovely food and drink, great location, would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

Clean, quiet, not too many restaurant choices nearby.
Location is a little further from Funchal than expected. Courtesy bus is provided but not many times a day and wasn’t advised we would be picked up by taxi on return so a little worried no bus arrived to pick us up and taxi 30 minutes late. Only available in the day time. Bus stops very close. Reception staff always helpful and polite. Waitresses not always responsive and no one helpful on first breakfast visit. Cleaning staff always busy and pleasant and everywhere spotless. Lacking a little atmosphere but pleasant decor, very quiet. Room spacious ,as we were 3 sharing had enough room and lovely sea view and balcony. Storage and hanging space for clothes a bit tight. Breakfast choices plentiful but hot items were only warm. Taking all things into consideration I think 4 stars for the hotel is generous.
Disapointing hotel
From the outside the hotel requires alot of attention, however the inside is well presented and modern. Apart from the lady on reception the other staff were not very friendly. we only stopped bed and breakfast which was ok but my one critism is that the food trays were empty they took to long to replenish. There were no water dispensors anywhere in the hotel which was poor for a hotel classed as 4star.the outside pool was fine but the indoor pool wasnt inviting.drinks in the bars was double the prices from bars nearby. the courtesy bus only runs 3x a day in to funchal and 2x return. local buses though are only 2 euros or a 45 min walk. enjoyed madeira but wouldnt use the same hotel again.
Beautiful hotel. Great staff
It is a really lovely hotel. About 10 minutes bus ride from the main town centre. Costs €2.05 make sure you have change for the bus drivers who can be a bit brusque. Breakfast buffet is more than adequate. Lovely patio area which is super quiet. Very clean overall. We had a superior double on 2nd floor which had a great view. First floor rooms have the pool/sunbathing area and spa/health centre outside so less privacy. Staff are really lovely. The hotel has 59 rooms/suites so nice size. Adults only which is a bonus for us. It’s in a classy part of town. New shopping mall. Cafe culture.

Excellent hotel
Lovely quiet hotel. We were upgraded to a superior room which was spacious with a great view towards Funchal. Mini kettle and mini fridge and large pool towels and robes were a nice addition. 2 euro to change towels which we thought was reasonable. Room cleaned every day to a high standard. Breakfast buffet plentiful with a great choice of fresh fruits, cooked items, breads and pastries. Good coffee machine. Small patio and pool but we were always able to get loungers. All the staff are helpful and polite. Reception able to advise on buses, trips etc. Would definitely return here.
