Fair hotel should be a 3 star
If you are expecting 4 star experience, you will be disappointed this hotel is very clean but needs modernising. The food is mediocre and some nights the restaurant ran out of certain foods . The location is excellent for getting about. The staff are pleasant but if you are under the age of 65 I would definitely give this hotel a miss I felt like I was at a nursing home

welcoming friendly hotel
visited here for a week in october. the hotel is situated in good location for shops bars and restaurants. the majority of staff were really friendly and welcoming especially at the pool bar. younger girl and older man at the bar on 1st floor were bit grumpy but overall everyone else was lovely. the rooms are lovely We stayed in junior suite it was really good having a living area with sofa. we were all inclusive and the food was really good , enough to choose from and having waiters bring you a drink to your table made a nice change. overall we had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to visit madeira again and would def stay at this hotel again couldn't recommend highly enough

Great hotel, relaxed vibe, chilled pool area, great location and excellent food with very friendly service
The location was perfect with easy walkable access to funchal and bus stop nearby. A very friendly hotel with staff that have worked there for years which is always a good sign. Very relaxed hotel, nice and quiet around the pool area. Rooms very clean and towels changed when requested. There were a few marks on the wall and a hook on the bathroom door was very loose. View was great too. Went all inclusive and was excellent food, in fact the best we've had! Great local specialities on in the evening and a plentiful breakfast. Loved the laid back lunches around the pool area too. Was a lovely quiet hotel and felt very relaxed. All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Would definitely come back to this hotel again. Thankyou for the birthday cake too, that was really lovely

An absolutely lovely hotel Food was great, staff amazing Guys on outside bar were so so helpful and happy Even had bottle of champagne in room on our anniversary So nice in fact we are booking to come back in 2027 What a beautiful island Definitely worth a visit ❤️ The Jet 2 guy was brilliant too

Best hotel in the whole of Madeira
Once again another fantastic holiday, we have no complaints about anything we love going visiting the Girassol and can’t wait to be back in April
