Wonderful Stay
A wonderful stay in Madeira. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel , food was great , staff fantastic. The Piano bar was our preferred bar . Though the pool was busy we never struggled to get a bed even later in the day . We had a room on the 6th floor which was perfect . We booked hikes through the hotel and had a really knowledgeable guide Bruno we did the PR1 which was classed as difficult yes it’s at high heights but more than manageable with a decent amount of fitness. The only downside at the hotel for 5 star the gym was really outdated and if you enjoy a holiday workout I think you’ll be disappointed. The hotel is in a great location and I used a local reformer Pilates studio rather than the gym .

Enotel Lido didn’t disappoint!
We have just enjoyed a very pleasant holiday at Enotel Lido, from our checking in to leaving we felt the whole hotel and staff were there to make guests feel welcomed. We had a side sea view room on the 6th floor which was very comfortable and well maintained throughout. All our meals from the main dining area were of good quality, served on hot plates with plenty of choice daily. A variety of wines were always available with staff frequently topping up and clearing plates etc. Drinks around the pool and in the piano bar were of good branded labels ( generously poured)! Cleanliness of the hotel is excellent throughout. The hotel is well situated within a short distance to shops, bars and Funchal. If anything could be improved it’s the way pool towels are exchanged in your room, when after a day around the pool an easy exchange would be much better as we were having to chase up clean ones daily. To sum up, we certainly will be returning again to hopefully enjoy more of the same in the future. Finally, a big thanks to all the staff, you all did a great job looking after us!
Fantastic Hotel, Wonderful Staff, Beautiful Memories
We had a wonderful stay at Enotel Lido Madeira, travelling together as a mother and son. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff, who made us feel comfortable throughout our stay.
Our room was perfect for us, with two comfortable beds of a great size, making it ideal for our trip. We really appreciated the little thoughtful touches, including the two travel tags that were left in our room during the last night’s room service. It was a lovely gesture and a beautiful reminder of our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views, excellent facilities, a great location, and delicious food with plenty of choice. Every member of staff we met was kind, professional, and always willing to help.
Thank you to everyone at Enotel Lido Madeira for making our holiday together so special. We created wonderful memories and would happily return in the future.
Good all round hotel
This is a decent hotel. It’s clean and modern with good facilities. The staff are professional and very polite. The food is good with the main buffet restaurant laid out with a good selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. We always sat on the terrace as it’s really lovely to eat outside with the view of the pool and sea. We didn’t try the other restaurants even though you can eat in these unlimited times during your stay. We always preferred eating on the terrace in comparison to these restaurants that are quite small and dark. The alcohol is very free flowing including the option of champagne and wine at all times. Staff walk around the pool area of a daytime with trays handing out cold water, beer, soft drinks to guests on loungers. The free underground parking is a huge bonus as we hired a car for the week that we collected from the airport. Our room 716 was spacious, clean and comfortable with the bonus of dressing gowns slippers and hairdryer plus tea and coffee making facilities. Our room however was quite dull as we were on the side overlooking a road. I suggest you request a room overlooking the swimming pool as these balconies would be much nicer to sit on. The lido area is good to walk around, restaurants and shops nearby although we didn’t use these as we were all inclusive.

Well, where do you start when you have just come back. saving grace is its hot in the UK.
Firstly welcome was really nice here! Porter greeted us and took our bags up! ( tip given) no way was we taking the cases up :)..
Swift and quick check in procedure.
We booked a standard room, ample, and enough room, would have liked a Suite but £££. after checking in wondered down for Lunch - WOW so much to choose from ! salads, meats, breads, fruits, you name it. Foods change every day which is good.
Breakfast, and Lunch all ample, lots to choose from.
STAFF are amazing, friendly and cannot do enough for you !
Lots of drinks to choose from.
Sports bar has branded sprits ! - handy as I like a proper scotch!
Sports bar has the other restaurants in, so again lots of hot and cold food.
You can just eat and eat and drinks as much as you want..
Facilities are really good. Two other areas for drinks, in side - totally perfect.
ENTERTAINMENT was excellent on Friday night - external team come in and is great - an eye opener.
Reception can arrange all your taxis and trips out - highly recommend a visit to the Main town, and shopping centre if you wish.
It is very clean, no issue, rooms cleaned daily.
Service from every staff member was great, I did not want to come home, but there is always next year !
I would 100% recommend this hotel, great for families also, mine are over 17 now. This was our 5th time to Madeira and have no hesitation to return.
My only grip, is the smoking, it is not nice at the sports bar when you are relaxing, it is semi outdoors, but covered. Management in this day and age I think smoking should not be allowed. sorry but I just cannot deal with it. Smoke if you wish but mindful of those who don't. :) sorry.
Spa pools are nice, and the indoor pool, outdoor pool is ample, and the pool is no deeper than 1.2m approx.,
Really one of the best holidays I have had and this was a new hotel we stayed in following four at others, 100% to return in a year or so.
