This attractive apartment hotel is located only 2 km from Funchal city centre. All rooms and studios have full or partial Atlantic Ocean views. There is a plethora of restaurants in the vicinity, ready to serve local delicacies. There are also several shops, bars and nightclubs in the area. The beautiful beach is only 500 m from the hotel and there are public transportation links in the vicinity, ready to take guests around the island's stunning landscape.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful but just the little things that let it down. Shower blew hot and cold and not much water pressure. Breakfast in a morning was great however the evening meal was not enough choices. When you sit down your asked if you would like a drink. I have diabetes and on medication. I have to take this before having anything to eat. One night the waiter took the order from the table next to me and I was just ignored. Another night they took my order and missed the table next to me. Having said all that I had a fantastic week out would probably go back. It's just the attention to detail that needs a little work.
I have to say I was a bit worried reading some of the reviews but I needn't have. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has a very chilled vibe about it. As vegetarians we were worried there may not be enough options, the food was beautiful, great quality and lots of choice. The only criticism is the labelling, it would have been helpful if the food was labelled as vegetarian. The hotel has nightly entertainment again bringing a chilled vibe whilst you enjoy a few drinks. We had a deluxe sea view room which was beautiful. The swimming pools and sun terraces were great, always availability for sun beds and the pools were quiet. We had a wonderful stay here, the staff were always helpful and pleasant. I would definitely return.
Hotel is lovely and staff especially Razual ( waiter)were really good , however, this should NOT be classed as all inclusive . The food choices were very limited and cold - even when arriving at the start of service. All inclusive guests were treated by some staff with disdain and like second class guests - just not good enough. This was not a cheap option but felt like it was. Snacks by the pool ( very limited period) were the only saving grace. The pool was rather disappointing , always cold as it was positioned in the shade and small . The hotel is set up for bed & breakfast guests and should be marketed as such .
Modern clean hotel but NOT all inclusive food was appalling breakfast below average basic omelette and cold meats etc lunch was inedible burgers and sausages could not even make a sandwich and evening meal not much better snacks not available until 1530 and only for an hour same with ice cream a saucer of 3 scoops available from 1500 for 30 mins hotel is predominantly German not a family hotel it’s suitable for couples staff mostly friendly first all inclusive holiday I have ever been on and I go at least twice a year, I have had to eat out usually I can find something to eat but this food is very very poor
We stayed at this hotel in June had a fantastic time we were BB really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning to start the day . The hotel was lovely as were the staff we were very lucky and got an upgrade to a suite which was unbelievable on the 14th floor with a view to die for . Loved the position of the hotel as we could walk into Funchal plus there were plenty of good restaurants around the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel
