Great stay
Lovely hotel, with little touches that make it more special. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The staff are friendly and attentive. We booked a sea view room on the 11th floor, it was opposite the rooftop bar which was fab as we could relax on the balcony watching the entertainment while enjoying a drink. Room was very spacious with everything you need such as a clothes steamer, mini fridge, kettle and coffee machine. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely stay in Madeira.

It will be nice when it’s finished!
On the plus side , the hotel is in a decent location and only a short walk /ride into Funchal. It is clean, the pool area is more than adequate and breakfast although not hot was decent. On the downside, the exterior of the hotel looks as if it is still in need of a coat of paint ( I can’t believe that anybody would deem a cement wash as being attractive! The lifts are small and can take an age and the general layout is not thought through. Our key card (we found by mistake) opened other rooms, not ideal!

Great hotel
Had a great stay at the Allegro, staff couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms very clean and tea and coffee always topped up. Pool area clean and never needed to worry about sunbed availability. Pool service is great! It’s a 40 minute steady walk into Funchal, plenty of restaurants nearby if you don’t fancy the walk. Breakfast had a good selection, sometimes the pancakes were cold but overall not a bad breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Great holiday
Lovely hotel. We stayed half board and were not disappointed. All the food we had was lovely, yes the breakfast was a little cooler than we would have liked at times but it’s to be expected at a buffet. The room was a little compact, but we really only slept in there, and the balcony was good when we sat “in our room” Good hotel and great location, well worth a visit.

Lovely stay worth the money we spent
Lovely hotel, basic but for what we paid was about right. Nice location, Staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned every day.
Breakfast was good with a good mix on display every day.
Feedback for the hotel to make it a bit better- the waiting time we spent waiting for lifts was not great, maybe add another lift or something. The pool atmosphere was awful and the music even worse- we ended up going to the Lido at the bottom of the hill when using the pool much better. Music was loud until 11pm some nights so for anyone looking to get their heads down for an early start please be aware.
