Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have absolutely loved this hotel, this being our 6th visit. Standards have sadly slipped. We arrived at 1pm & our room Want ready until 5pm. When we got there we had 2 bath towels for 3 people. Same the following day. On the third day after a day at the pool, we went back to our room to find it had not been serviced at all. I called reception and it took over an hour for someone to appear. I asked to speak to a Manager, this never happened . Poor show this time around! And where have the 5 stars gone off the building? Left today feeling deflated.
My third time golfing int the Algarve and by far my favourite , the location of the hotel is perfect , lots to do on your doorstep great Restraunts and bars , and getting to and from golf course was very easy as the hotel transport dropped us off and picked us up with no problems , 10/10
This was my second visit to this hotel. My last being in May 2024 on a golf trip with 24 friends! Our experience then was superb and you can read my review from that time. We decided to go back to Tivoli Marina just to spend a week in the sun at a resort that offered a world-class pool and a beach. Our check-in process was as smooth as can be expected and our rooms did not disappoint. We had looked forward to this trip and looked forward to spending a week in the sun. This hotel does offer everything it promises but I have to be honest and say it's starting to show signs of ageing! This might be due to the fact that they are ending a very busy summer season but it's not an excuse when the carpet is not vacuumed outside my room for 3 days! The towel fitting in our bathroom was loose, there was a broken/cracked wall tile in our bathroom and the cupboard doors did not sit well on their runners. Don't get me wrong, I am not being picky but if you claim you are 5-star then these little infractions should be addressed. All in all this is a wonderful hotel and the management are superb. I had a medical issue unfortunately during our stay and the manager and medical officer who attended to me were both very kind and thorough. It was disappointed we had to cut our holiday short due my ill health. The front desk staff and guest relations staff are all wonderful and we would recommend this hotel and return in the future.
Couldn’t recommend and thank the staff enough. Pleasant, tentative and flexible. Overall - from reception, to front of house, to bar and pool staff - everyone went out of their way to help and go the extra mile to improve our experience.
What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location on the marina! As soon as you walk in it feels expensive and there are people waiting to take your bags off you when you arrive. The room was great with a lovely view and clean. Nice size pool just a bit cold! Breakfast was a great selection, we loved the omelettes. Service was a bit slow for coffee but it was a very busy hotel. The hotel had a family feel. The only annoying thing was the price for the Purobeach to be able to use the beach which let the hotel down slightly. We did not try the bars/ restaurants as they were quite expensive and we used the ones around the marina. As we had a marina view, it did get a bit noisy.
