The Domes Lake Resort

Just returned from a weeks holiday and wish we had booked for two. This hotel is outstanding. All staff are friendly and happy. The cleaning staff are outstanding. All the waiting staff in all restaurants are so nice, from breakfast to the pool bar to the evening restaurants.
The entire hotel is spotlessly clean. We booked for the Italian restaurant one night and the meal was probably the best Italian we have eaten.
The lake and surrounding trees and gardens are very calming. Our only niggle was the sunbed etiquette. There are signs explaining you may lose your towels/beds if you are away from them for some time. We regularly saw people not return for hours at a time which left people without beds. I don’t feel this is right when young families are looking for beds. One day we witnessed ladies take a large bed then disappear to the beach for 8 hours.

We stayed at Domes Lake Algarve for one week as a family of four in a two-bedroom apartment, and we absolutely loved it.

The apartment was perfect for a family, with two proper separate bedrooms and a comfortable living area in between, which gave everyone their own space. It made such a difference and was exactly what we were looking for.

The entire hotel was immaculately clean, and every member of staff we came across was friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the service throughout our stay was excellent.

The setting is simply stunning. The lake is beautiful and creates such a peaceful atmosphere, while the marina is only around a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy all the restaurants, shops and evening atmosphere without needing transport.

Our apartment also had a lovely private garden, which was a fantastic place to relax.

The only slight negative for us was that we felt the buffet was a little overpriced for what it was. That said, our children really enjoyed it, so it certainly won’t stop us returning.

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Domes Lake Algarve to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing family holiday. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed here for a long weekend in July and really enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer.

We stayed in a supreme lake view room, at the end of the complex, it was above the kids playground, however we were on the 2nd floor and this was not an issue for us. The room was spacious, very clean, with a modern excellent bathroom area which included a bathtub and walk in shower, and the room had separate toilet and a lovely very big comfortable bed, all topped off with a balcony to relax on and enjoy the stunning hotel scenery.

We were bed and breakfast, enjoying the excellent variety offered and tasty food available at breakfast, complimented by good service and lots of tables which meant we didn’t have to wait for a table on any morning despite the hotel being busy.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at the Estrella pool bar, good service, great views and the DJ offered an excellent chilled vibe.

The adults pool area is very good, excellent relaxing area, and whilst the pool is deep enough to cool down, it can be a little tricky to get into with steep sides.

Whilst we were at the adult pool, Ricardo was working in the tuck shop, he was extremely attentive, continually making sure we didn’t need anything and really friendly too, a real asset to the team who stuck our for us for his excellent service.

The walk into the Marina is only 5 mins, so the location of the hotel is also in an excellent position too.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, we would definitely come back and definitely recommend a visit too.
