Great apartment 8211
Great location out of the hustle and bustle of the marina. Ten mins walk to a spar and ten mins drive to the main supermarkets , golf courses and marina, A very laid back atmosphere. No fighting for sun beds. We even had two in our massive balcony! Fantastic value for money! I don’t understand the people who complain. Yes it’s dated but it is spotless and they charge accordingly. The cleaners are in everyday. They do a fantastic job! It was quiet and chilled! The restaurant/ snack bar was handy for those times when a trip in to town was too much! The staff were all absolutely lovely! The apartment had everything you can think of! Really well kitted out! Beds were a bit uncomfortable for me but my husband said his was great so that’s just a matter of what you prefer. Pillows great! Uber here is so cheap so if you struggle walking just uber or bolt! Thanks everyone for a great stay!

Lovely but needs some attention.
Our 5th year here. We are Self Catering. The location is perfect for a short walk to The Old Village & to The Marina. The Reception Staff are friendly & helpful. This year we were in a first floor Studio which is really good, although the furnishings are a little tired and need freshening. The cleaners aren’t as thorough as they used to be. The Restaurant is great. Friendly helpful staff and the food is excellent! One issue that many guests have commented on are how overgrown the gardens around the lower pool area are. When we first came the gardens were immaculate! The shrubs are so big they encroach on some guests patios and the lifebelt is almost invisible in the tangle of shrubs. Such a pity as it is a lovely place to stay and we will happily return. The above issues just need sorting to enhance the stay of their guests.

We had apartment 6101. The room was very spacious, very clean and fully kitted out. Plenty of wardrobe space. The only downside was the out look onto the pool area, the shrubbery was very high and blocked the sunshine. Just needed a bit of trim. We preferred the bottom swimming pool area as it was quite, until a large group of ladies found it and we not quite, which spoiled it for those who wanted a peaceful afternoon, the top pool was lovely but not as peaceful during the day. But that said both pools where set in lovely surroundings. Ideal base for Vilamoura and other towns. It was nice to come back too after visting the Marina as was quiet. We visited a few restaurants The Whale was amazing and we found Industria, a local restaurant which did lovely food. We ate at Pinhal Da Marina also a few times, their food was lovely as were the staff. You can order takeaway as well. All the staff we really helpful and polite. We enjoyed our visit, but Vilamoura has become very built up. But it was easy to access for walking down to. The Spar shop was a fully equipped shop with lots of fresh produce. We also shopped at the Intermarche, near Burger King. Great Pharmacy there if needed, really modern and clean. No issues at Faro Airport for us, although you do here stories, but they try and get on top of the queues. Dosent help when people barge their way through! There wasn't much time to look around duty free, but we got through and our flight with Tui was only delayed by 15 mins.
Basic Stay
Beds - overly firm but clean Soundproofing- walls thin so can really hear overhead, which is unusual. Kitchen Facilities and tools - good
Pet peeves - nets on bedroom window brown, also even with shutters down i couldnt get room dark as streetlight outside window.
Whole place has aged a good bit, i think the fact i got a semi basement flat made it worse.
You are 10 minutes to spar which also has a nice thai place nearby and another place doing acai bowls. Ive tried both, top tier.
I didnt try the food in the place so cant rate.
Pool area is nice, in october there was no fight for the chairs.
Marina is about 25 minutes walk and an extra 15 to nicer more private beach.
The place was passable for me as a solo male traveller. I wouldnt come again on my own and it would be too basic for my daughters.

Very Run down, food was terrible and plenty of bugs
Very run down. Don’t know how it got 4 stars. Must of got them in the 60’s
