Luna Olympus

Not a 4 star hotel. Whoever listed this hotel as 4 star needs to be investigated. Awful pool area where the grass is just thistles and can’t walk on without shoes. There was a dead bird floating around on our first day here. Hallways are dark and dreary. Breakfast is awful - nothing else to say about that. Rooms are basis but nowhere near 4 star. Nice location. Very noisy at night as this seems to be a stag/hen party hotel. Often kept awake until 3am with doors slamming etc. A 2 star hotel at best.

Start with a positive...The location is a stones throw to the marina and if you get a high room you have fab views. Negative...location is where the lady workers do their jobs. We had a 1st floor apartment and the noise of cars pulling up all night and the sound of high heel walking back and forth was such a nuisance. The lobby is lovely and cosy but the landing our room was on was grubby, and I only seen one cleaner. The room itself although spacious is in need of a refurb. The bathroom looked old. The bath has been painted a few times and the shower curtain looked like its there years,the ceiling had dirty finger prints. There was works going on at the pool with a kango hammer. One pool was closed. The bar never opened.

Reception area is lovely and smells great. On first inspection apartment seemed ok but when you actually look properly its in desparate need of a complete reburb..beds really uncomfortable and bathroom so so bad. Balcony is great size but again floor had broken tiles and the little garden area was a disgrace. I think this hotel is fine for a 3 night stay but definitely not your family holiday. We will not be back. Villamoura is over rated and over priced.
