Lovely & quiet by the pool. Clean rooms. But don’t expect any sleep what so ever once in your room. The walls & ceilings are paper thin. Sounds like there’s a removals company on the room above us every single night. And TV/music from the next dr.
I stayed here while attending a wedding at Quinta Dos Netos, which was about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. However, the hotel itself is quite isolated—there are no local restaurants or shops nearby. The only convenience store is a BP down the road that offers snacks.
The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The property consists of apartments, which was a bit of a surprise for me. I would say this hotel is best suited for families or couples who prefer self-catering, as all the necessary amenities for that were available. The apartment was basic and could have been cleaner, although daily cleaning was offered. I agree with other reviews that the hotel feels somewhat soulless.
Breakfast was very basic and limited—I have never seen such a small selection at a hotel.
The pool area looked nice from afar, but upon closer inspection, it wasn’t clean. There were dead flies in the jacuzzi and around the poolside, which was off-putting.
On the positive side, the hotel has a nice little lake, a children’s playground, tennis court, and a gym on site.
Personally, I would not stay here again due to the location and the overall basic nature of the hotel.
A relaxing holiday in a beautiful small resort in Vilamoura.
A lovely apartment with a well-maintained garden, it felt like home.
The pool and jacuzzi are excellent.
Excellent value for money.
The accommodation complex is small, but the rooms are sizeable. I would highly recommend a ground floor apartment with garden.
Ours was well equipped with two comfortable sun loungers. 2 comfortable chairs and a small table. Our room got the afternoon sun, which was perfect.
The bedroom was a good size, lots of plugs and sizeable bathroom with fabulous natural light.
The kitchen, lounge, dining area was open plan which we liked.
The kitchen was very well equipped has toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine. 4 ring electric. Job, extractor and fridge freezer.
The pool bar area was immaculately clean, great staff and csn highly recommend the reasonably priced cocktails which are freshly made to order.
If you are arriving for check in after 2330 would recommend you contact the hotel to make arrangements.
The tourist tax was €2 per night per person.
On check in we asked about bus information as it is not in. An area where you are serviced with lots of shops. We never received the information we were told would be emailed.
We used uber to get about and would pay anywhere between €7-9 euros each way in to Vilamoura or Quarteira and €10-12 yo Albufeira.
I would say a car would be easier to get around, but unless you use zitautos for your car hire expect your insurance to ramp up the price. 3 days for a Clio size car in Vilamoura round be up to €150 fully insured (but you’d need to read what you’re covered for ( I accept no liability)
There is a Pingo supermarket you can walk to but it would take you around an hour round trip.
The gym was small but serviceable, we didn’t use the spa, there are tennis courts available.
For children with young families there is a small play park and a monkey bar type frame (but not in the exact same location).
The apartments numbered 30 upwards are in the better location.
We initially on check in were offered apartment 1 but it didn’t look much like the photos on the website and its location had a very small garden, it smelled a little musty and was directly next to the busy road on a roundabout.
The pool area had around 36 sun loungers. I would imagine in the height of summer it would be difficult to get a sun lounger, although a fabulous service the hotel confirm to us if you aren’t in the pool area for longer than 15 mins then towels will be removed from sun loungers so this avoids people running out at early doors to secure a sun lounger.
The outdoor pool jacuzzi is a winner, I’m not certain if it’s heated but this was like a warm bath in the sun, it has a seated jacuzzi for 1 person and a sun lounger in the jacuzzi. As the main pool was icy cold, the jacuzzi was understandably very popular with children, so you couldn’t always get in it.
There is lots of parking and the gates are locked at midnight for security.
I read before coming away it can be noisy. We didn’t experience this but as there are no bars or restaurants I. The immediate vicinity, there may be some noise if guests return and want to continue the party, but this could happen anywhere so I would g let it out you off.
The Duo Spa at Cegonha Country Club provides a very soothing experience for the body and soul. There are numerous treatments and healing opportunities that are provided in a very courteous, kind and welcoming manner. I had the pleasure of experiencing the massage at the Duo Spa with Anabela, who is a caring Angel in a human form. She has a very kind and caring personality, but most of all a healing touch. She has the ability to sense the tension in the body and make it go away. I work in an office, and unfortunately, I have not moved much in recent weeks, and sitting in front of a computer has taken its toll. Therefore, my body was tense, aching and stiff. Anabela, with her caring touch, has helped it go away. And on top of the fabulous massage, the sauna and amazing herbal water or tea are really making the rest and regeneration spectacular. If you are looking to heal, you are in the right place. Duo Spa has a very welcoming ambience In the Spa, there is also Igor, who is a very passionate and skilled Chinese Medicine practitioner. The suite of therapies is extensive, and his explanation of the benefits is clear and factual. At the initial assessment, he has suggested what is best for me to heal and feel better. I didn’t feel obliged or pushed into anything; I have made a well-informed decision, as he explained all so well. The treatment made a huge difference, and I feel much better. However, if I need to continue, he offers online sessions. The aftercare, I must say, that, Igor went above and beyond to make sure I am being looked after. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Portuguese, so he even helped with some translations.
