Based in Vilamoura, the Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve gives you easy access to the beach as well as the golf course. And what a beach! Undoubtedly one of Portugal's finest, it's a haven for water sports enthusiasts as well as sun-seekers. Best of all, there is even a specially designated area with umbrellas and sunbeds that guests can use*.
Even if you're not a golfer, there's a wonderful range of amenities to enjoy at the Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve . You don't have to go anywhere near the golf course. With its fabulous spa, its enticing bar and restaurant and the wonderful pool, you'll be spoilt for choice.
A superb eighteen hole golf course and fantastic facilities combine to make this the dream location for golfers. Just imagine a round first thing, with the sun already shining and the conditions perfect. Then it's back to the hotel for a light lunch. You might even sneak in another round before dinner.
Even without the beach or the golf courses, the property is a wonderful place to stay. Its fantastic facilities are among the finest in the Algarve and will ensure you have a very relaxing stay.
You'll love the fine selection of bars and restaurants in Vilamoura, giving each night a slightly different flavour. It doesn't matter if you over-indulge a little bit either; the hotel's well-equipped spa (with a cardio fitness room, sauna and Jacuzzi) will help you work off the calories. And so will a swim. Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve has an indoor and outdoor pool for you to enjoy.
Rooms all have a private bathroom so you can soak in the tub as well as in the pool. You'll also enjoy the private balcony overlooking the resort's gardens. All that extra light gives a really spacious feeling.

The Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve, situated in Vilamoura, is perfectly positioned within walking distance of the beach and Vilamoura Marina. As the name would suggest the resort is ideal for those looking to try out their golf skills, with some of Europe's best courses only minutes away. An area of Vilamoura beach with umbrellas and sunbeds can be use by hotel guests (at a fee).
Came here in August for my birthday.. beautiful stay , the best bed I've ever stayed in the rooms was perfect . Carla was very nice she was very accommodating.. giving us the best experience ever , leading us to come back 4 weeks later , yet again Carla was outstanding with her service. From Carla room 109.
This is an older hotel redone as a Hyatt Regency. It is more like a Holiday Inn Resort than a Hyatt Regency. The hotel is fine but not outstanding. The hallways look old and so does the carpet. There is no wow when you open the hotel room door. The parking is a nightmare. The cars are jammed in and everyday we had to call the front desk to get the car gate to open. They need to eliminate this system its way too annoying. Our room faced the casino which I do not recommend as the sun sets on that side of the building and our small room was never cold. We had trouble sleeping at night due to the heat. The pool area is very nice and worth checking out. The buffet breakfast is packed. There is a variety of food. I recommend eating outdoors to get away from the craziness. Where the hotel does excel is the staff and management. As a globalist there was no upgrade but they sent wine and food to the room. It was very appreciated. All the professional staff were so kind (only the young pool boys who delivered food and drink seemed bored and uninterested.) If you like large hotels with a big pool, etc. this should be on your list if priced reasonably. If you want a small charming town in the Algarve or a romantic hotel this is not the area or hotel for you. There are hotels/condos in the old town of Vilamoura which are charming. Hint: If you are driving to the hotel put in the Crowne Plaza which is next door. If you put in the Hyatt you will end up a mile or two away from the hotel.
I would have probably given 3.5 stars if possible as 4 seems too much but 3 a little low. Overall the hotel is fine, just not amazing. It has been recently refurbished so the decor and rooms were great. Location also nice short walk to the marina. Staff are not overly helpful, again they are fine but nobody is going out of their way to help. Nice enough pool area seemed small but actually not problem in getting beds (that are extremely uncomfortable!) and the extra charges for the daybeds and cabana’s are ridiculously high so of course always empty. Breakfast again fine, kids table was a very cute idea. Generally I can’t say anything other than fine, overpriced for the service received but no real issues or problems with the hotel
We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve an already looking forward to return!!
A very special thank you must go to Iara from Guest Relations, who was absolutely wonderful and an asset to Hyatt. Iara went above and beyond, made sure our stay is well taken care of, in every aspect, and given us the most personal touch, which is so magical that you won't be seeing in any other hotel brands, I felt like I was staying in a Park Hyatt while paying a very reasonable room rate, the service here just exceed our expectations in every single way.
The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, spotless clean, and we really enjoyed the facilities (you get a beach volleyball court by the pool, what more can you ask for?), atmosphere and location (Prime location, close the the center of Vilamoura and the beach, can get everything within walking distance). Most importantly, though, it was the warmth and personal attention from the team that made our stay stand out.
Thank you again to Iara and everyone at Hyatt Regency Vilamoura for making us feel so welcome, Front desk -Johnathan, Bell Services, Room Service, and Housekeeping team all deserve huge credit!! Staying in Hyatt is such a lovely way to celebrate important moment for our family, and we left with some wonderful memories.
We would absolutely recommend the hotel and hope to return again in the future!
Whilst I expected it to be busy mid August, I wasn't quite prepared for the number of people in Vilamoura walking up and down the Marina! Our room wasn't ready at the Hyatt when we arrived and they kept us waiting right up until 3pm, even though they promised to keep chasing it. Room was nice but a bit small as was the bathroom. However the shower was great. The room was very clean and we had maid service every day with clean towels whether you hung them up or not and a large bottle of water provided. There was nowhere on the balcony or in the bathroom to dry swimwear or anything else. The lifts were a bit hit and miss especially at busy times such as breakfast and we found it quicker to walk the 6 floors both up and down. The pool area is very nice with plenty of beds although they are all in rows quite close together. There is however a severe lack of umbrellas and people were putting towels down as early as 8.30am. The pool bar is okay but service is a bit slow and the menu a bit lacking, especially for children as someone pointed out. Breakfast was disappointing. Although there is plenty of choice, the hot section is luke warm and the scrambled egg is powdered. They refuse to make fresh scrambled eggs and spend all their time making omelets which are then placed under a heat lamp and left to cool down and go very rubbery. Fried eggs were also pre made and taken out of a cooler and placed over a warming tray, although this never heated them up fully. Staff are very friendly and helpful but overall not what I expected from a 4 star hotel
