Plaza Real Atlantichotels is the complex of 4 blocks with 60 apartments distributed in T1 and T2 Duplex. The apartments are good sized, very well equipped and decorated, with air conditioning and free wireless internet access. All apartments with balcony. Guests have an excellent swimming pool for adults, a children's pool, a playground and a mini tennis court.
Plaza Real Atlantichotels is more or less 10 minutes walk from the beach. Portimão city center, Portimão Marina and Praia da Rocha are a 3-minute drive away. Portimão Train Station is 3 km from Plaza Real.
Plaza Real Atlantichotels is recommended for a good price / performance ratio in Portimão. A great place to spend your family vacation.

Staff bullys
Staff were really nasty to us after we queried a charge that came out on our end but they had no record of it. I approached the situation very calmly and was just enquiring about it, paid in cash instead. The staff were very aggressive and after the incident they wouldn't even come over to our table to ask us if we needed anything despite going to every other table repeatedly. They made us feel so unwelcome even though we had small kids and made us wait for drinks and food as long as they possibly could. Beds were uncomfortable.
Enjoyable stay
Just returned from 2 weeks here, very enjoyable stay. Everyone we dealt with in Hotel were very professional and pleasant. Apt is very large and nicely finished. Everything we needed was there. Lovely balcony overlooking pool. Air-conditioning was really needed on a few occasions. Did try and leave the patio doors open in the bedroom but the seagulls were really loud and woke me repeatedly. Watch out for them as one pinched my breakfast when I stepped inside for 30 seconds. They're a bit of a pest to be honest. Dont wear flip flops if heading to the strip as theres a very rough patch of stones that would challenge anyone with walking difficulties. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return .

FABULOUS
The staff are fantastic the bar area is good value for your money food is delicious...very friendly and you feel safe and comfatable The apartments are very spacious and everything you need is there

Great size apartment
Great sized apartment with large rooms & large balcony. We had a room with balcony facing out to fields instead of to the pool which was fab as it’s a bit more private. Bar onsite serves good food. The couple Oscar & Mathilda who run it are lovely. Close to shops/resturants. 10 minute walk to the beach & 20 minutes into Portimao. Would definitely choose here again if returning to Portimao.
Super relaxing break
Friendly and chilling, basic I guess but what do we go for? Sun & a rest, holiday was a good price, room clean & massive, continental breakfast wasn’t the best, wouldn’t pay for breakfast again but paid for a brekkie a couple of days & had scrambled eggs & my partner had bacon & egg which was lovely, beautiful areas about visited Alvor which was stunning only 8 euros by uber, suprrmarket nearby which was unbelievable giant prawns were amazing, quiet place fantastic beach nearby but my thanks go to Matilda in the restaurant & the man who ran the restaurant too, they worked hard for their money but were always smiling & so friendly, yes I’m booking it again this year hopefully, I’ve only come home today & it was great!
