Lovely holiday
Stayed in a two bed pool facing apartment on the 6th floor - rooms were fairly modern and clean each of the bedrooms had a small unfurnished balcony - the balcony off the living area had a table and two chairs. The living area had a sofa with a large table and chairs, there is a small hallway on entering the apartment where you could store suitcases etc. The bathroom is quite small could do with a few more hooks etc but adequate. Each room had roller shutter doors which help keep the rooms a bit cooler when you are out for the day. The apartment was cleaned every day and towels changed daily. All staff we interacted with were very friendly. There is a daily charge for a bedroom safe. Only used the pool once was a bit chilly and it was slippy around the pool, plenty of free sun beds/umbrellas the day we were at the pool. Towel hire is available from reception. Tried the bar one night cocktails were fairly priced, entertainment was on a Monday night a singer with guitar, the seating area both outside and inside was kept clean. The hotel was about a 5-10 minute walk to the main centre which was ideal for us. There is a vending machine in reception which sells water etc if the bar area is closed. It is a 12 noon room vacate as our pick up time was 4pm by the travel company there is a room off reception where you can leave your suitcases while you enjoy your last few hours of your holiday. The only slight issue we had was there is only air conditioning in the living area which we thought would be okay but as there was a heatwave while we were there the bed rooms were very warm and uncomfortable due to the heat.

AVOID ( not fussy irish couple) but AVOID
The hotel was basic. Location good. But my god the staff were absolutely horrific. Its the first time ever where I was so uncomfortable coming back to where i was staying after a day away. It was extremely upsetting. We were actually locked out of our room one day (over an issue with makeup on towels) they tried to charge and when challenged admitted they made a mistake. They were ignorant and so unprofessional. Its the only holiday were the actual staff in a hotel ruined our week. Also a group of under 20s landed and where running a riot around the place. Portimao is lovely and plenty of places to stay just one around the corner from here was miles better I heard. avoid avoid avoid !! (1st bad review i have ever given actually)

Good location in Praia de Rocha
The aparthotel is in a great location in Praia da Rocha (7 min walk to the Promanade) 15 min walk to the beach - 80 steps down and up - it worth it, very nice beach with sunbeds ( Eur 16.50 for 2 people in September) , two good restaurants and dramatic cliffs. The apartments are very big and comfy, have everything what you need on a holiday. Big shower room, only missing a little shelf for the soap or shampoo. Pool is pleasant, but people jumping. Would be great to have a life guard or somebody in duty.
End of Summer break
We stayed in this hotel from September 15th to 19th..Absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean, the rooms are a very decent size..The staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful. Pool were very well kept...Our teen boy loved the games room and we were only a 5 min walk to main strip.. We will be back next Summer Gina, Greg+Daragh Cotter .
Great stay
Really lovely apartments. Clean and spacious. Short walk to main strip and small market. Apartments serviced daily. Staff really nice. Pool area lovely. No issues getting sun lounger at any time. Pizzas at snack bar were very tasty. Will definatley book here again.
