Great experience at the Belmar Resort
We were beyond pleased with our experience at the Belmar. We loved our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment- it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff is kind, attentive, accomodating and responsive. The location of the hotel was perfect for us- walking distance to the beach, and a short taxi ride to the Lagos City Centre. It was super easy to get a ride with Bolt. The pools were nice - the pool bar had good options for food and drinks. We didn't have time to use any of the Spa services, but the Spa staff was very gratious in helping us get clean beach towels each day. We highly recommend the Belmar.
Family fun
We loved the location and the option of beach or pool. I do feel that a shuttle should have been available to the beach for elderly walkers but it was only few minutes and okay for us. Pool areas were lovely especially the adult pool. Breakfast was good. Staff were all very helpful. The unit itself I found sparse and not very comfortable, we had a three bedroom unit. View was not special. I don’t feel the value was there but it was clean and fit our needs.
Belmar Resort
Great customer service. It would be great to have a cleaning lady more than once every few days in our apartment. We know it was available but there was a fee. The resort has great amenities, but the rooms need a refresh. We stayed in an owned unit I believe. The gym was good but should have AC and that was missing. The pools were very well maintained. The resort was quiet with families. We loved the location and the staff! We would go back again.

Exceptional!
We absolutely loved our stay at Belmar Resort & Spa and would happily return. The location was fantastic—peaceful and relaxing, with easy access to the beautiful beaches that make the Algarve so special. The entire resort had such a calm, peaceful atmosphere. It really felt like a place where you could slow down and enjoy being in the Algarve. We also loved being close enough to Lagos to enjoy the Old Town while still feeling removed from the busier areas and the time at Ponte Piedade- just a walk away was INCREDIBLE! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped. Having the extra space and amenities made it feel like much more than a typical hotel room and made our stay especially comfortable. We definitely felt like it was excellent value for the price. Considering the location, quality of the accommodations, resort amenities, and level of service, we felt Belmar offered a lot for what we paid. Everything throughout the resort felt very clean and well maintained, including our room and the common areas. Despite being a full resort, it never felt loud or chaotic. The peaceful environment was a huge part of what we enjoyed about staying here. The service and amenities were exceptional. The pools, spa, beautiful grounds, and overall resort setup made it easy to enjoy time at the property rather than feeling like we always needed to be out sightseeing. Belmar was a wonderful home base for our time in the Algarve. Between the peaceful atmosphere, spacious accommodations, beautiful location, excellent amenities, and exceptional service, it was one of the highlights of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again.
Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Very spacious apartments. The kitchen is well equipped and they clean the apartment every day. We felt like royalty. Lovely staff!
