Almost Perfect - As Long As You Stay Room Only
The hotel is spotless, the staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. I contacted reception prior and during our stay about a couple of unusual requests and they did their best to met what was asked. All the staff take great pride in their work, always smiling and greeting. We planned to eat at the restaurant once but as the meal and service were so good we ate there a second time. The number one rule, the beds were comfortable and I had a great sleep.
I sat and thought about this, 5 star review, 4 star review or even 3 star review. After thinking hard I just couldnt lower my score from 5 star based on one area considering everything else was perfect.
What was the area that almost gave my review 1 star. It was breakfast. What a disaster, out of 3 attempts to have breakfast, we managed to get one good breakfast. One occasion we waited so long to order that we just left, the staff were extremely unorganised and the cold selected was empty and not stocked. Nobody wants to wait 50 minutes for cooked food and still not get it. On another occasion the staff were more interested in serving and dealing with the airline crew that came in after us that we waited a very long time again. So we paid extra for breakfast for a service we never really got and had to pay to eat elsewhere. My advise is book the hotel as room only and have breakfast elsewhere. The morning service really lets the hotel down. Its a shame as I read so many great things about the breakfast here, but what we experienced was just an embarrassing disaster.
Would I return and stay, yes I would. Would I pay for breakfast, easily no.
Note to hotel, replace your breakfast service manager, train your waiting staff. They can learn something from the evening restaurant staff who were just great and couldnt be more helpful.

What a hotel! Spotlessly clean, Well presented modern rooms, amazing staff, food is lovely, and reasonably priced. Pool area is lovely, with refreshing pool. Theres a small gym, and indoor pool. Right in centre of old town Faro, so loads of restaurants that cater for all tastes. Can't recommend this place enough, credit to the 3HB Hotels, had a fantastic break here. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Everything about this hotel from start of four day break to finish was simply stunning . The hotel was spotless and food and drinks delicious , the rooms, spa, rooftop pool and bar simply amazing right in centre of old town we had one of best holiday breaks we ever had but one thing that makes this a 5 star hotel is the staff simply the best ever all over the hotel so polite and helpful credit to hotel , we will be back very soon thank you so much.

Amazing experience
Just returned from a 5 day trip and had the most amazing experience! On arrival we were too early to check in, however were offered a private shower/ changing area to freshen up and a safe place to leave luggage. Was contacted by phone when room was available and given an amazing unexpected upgrade. The room was gorgeous, meticulously clean, well furnished and the most amazing huge comfortable bed! Housekeeping was brilliant with all the small touches such as restocking the fridge daily. The rooftop pool/bar area was lovely, with ample complimentary fresh towels, staff very attentive and friendly. The only very small point would be it would be helpful to have more sun loungers rather than chairs. Gorgeous space to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. We used the Italian restaurant a few times which was lovely, food was fresh, delicious and well priced and again staff were so lovely. Had a late checkout and again they couldn’t be more helpful, gave us access to all facilities and the space to shower/ change prior to leaving - having arranged transport to the airport. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, clean, well maintained, very helpful bi lingual staff and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel and fabulous staff
Great choice and enjoyable experience! We were spoiled from start to the finish of our holiday. We were 3 travellers and booked 2 rooms - the staff couldn’t be more helpful and made sure these were located next to each other in a quiet area. The staff really couldn’t have done more to make our stay comfortable and relaxed. Cleanliness was excellent and the cleaning staff were efficient, most days our rooms were done by the time we returned from breakfast. The food and restaurant staff were excellent, we loved the rooftop bar for pre-drinks and they ensured we had an appropriate table for one of our group who was on crutches. Faro old town is quite a small but we loved the ease of access to the train station and harbour area. Ubers are very easy to catch a short walk from the hotel. Gym is great, if I had any observations it would be the perennial issue of some guests insisting on reserving beds by the pool despite the signage! Why spoil a great place for others by strategically leaving your book on a sun lounger whilst you enjoy a leisurely breakfast! Can’t account for selfish people I guess but otherwise a fabulous place and we would love to return soon. A personal thanks from us to the staff!
