Lovely relaxing getaway
We had such a wonderful and much needed getaway. The spa was fantastic, and Catia was wonderful. We came away feeling so relaxed and reset.

Facial at the Tivoli-Algarve
Catia was the best! I got a great facial, and I even slept on the table (so relaxed I was!)
Nice resort, excellent spa services
This is a very comfortable resort with a great breakfast that’s included. The room was comfortable and spacious with a nice terrace/balcony. The location is good because it’s an easy walk into town so you can take advantage of the restaurants (check out The Garden restaurant - great food and service), etc., there without being right in town so you don’t have to deal with crowds.
The best part of staying here was the spa treatment from Kelly. She gave me a salt scrub, massage, and vitamin C facial and I could not have been happier with the experience. She is very skilled and helped me relax completely (no easy task). I strongly recommend getting a massage or other treatment from Kelly if you go to this resort.
A Beautiful Hotel with Room for Improvement in the Five-Star Experience
Overall, Tivoli Carvoeiro is a beautiful property with a stunning location and a lovely pool, although the hotel itself is starting to feel a little dated. For the price and being a five-star hotel, we expected a better experience.
The staff weren’t always the most helpful, and poolside service was difficult on busy days. When we went to the restaurant to order ourselves, the staff didn’t seem particularly pleased about that either.
We were told we’d been upgraded to a sixth-floor room with a terrace, which initially seemed like a nice gesture. However, there was a wedding taking place directly above us, and the music made it difficult to sleep that evening. When I called the front desk, the staff member immediately knew what I was calling about before I even explained, but offered little assistance.
Had we known about the event and the potential noise, we would have much preferred a lower-floor room rather than the upgrade.
I completely understand that hotels host weddings and private events, but there needs to be a better balance between accommodating those events and ensuring other paying guests can enjoy their stay. For a five-star hotel at this price point, I would expect better communication, more attentive service, and greater consideration for the overall guest experience.
On a positive note, breakfast was very good, and the spa team was excellent. Their service was friendly, professional, and a real highlight of our stay.
Always a beautiful treatment at Tivoli
Very friendly , welcoming and professional. Treatment was beautiful and felt my therapist Catia really cared. I had a really wonderful experience. This is my 3rd visit and I have another treatment booked .
