- Carvoeiro Hotel

The hotel is located near the Carvoeiro town, but far from the busy centre, in a calm environment; the hotel is close to the famous nearby beaches. The hotel has a spacious garden. It is centrally located close to the main tourist attractions. It is 1.2 kilometres to the sea, the beach, a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, nightclubs and public transportation.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights, expecting a four-star experience as advertised, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived.
The condition of the hotel was far below what we anticipated. The windows were rotten, the furniture was ripped and worn, and the bed in our room was broken — so much so that I had to request a room change at 10pm, which was incredibly inconvenient. The pool area was also dirty and clearly not well maintained.
We were so unhappy that we tried to check out on the second day, but were only offered a refund for one night, leaving us feeling stuck for the remainder of our stay.
Overall, I feel this hotel is falsely advertised as a four-star property. In reality, I would rate it closer to a two-star at best. I would not recommend staying here.
The hotel was clean, very spacious bedrooms and quiet which was a bonus. The area is lovely loads to do for the kids and adults. The bad things we experienced were - Aircon didn't work, we asked every day at reception but it never came on regardless how much we mentioned it. Showers - water only stayed hot for 3-5 minutes then was cold. My sister stayed over in a different room and she experienced the same issue. 2 plugs didn't work Including the one in the kitchen so we had to boil the kettle in the bedroom. Couldn't turn the tap hot or cold as it wasn't attached properly. The holiday was amazing apart from these parts, and there's a big hill to get to the town. We didn't think it would be a massive issue, but towards the end of the week we got taxis as the children hated the hill.
Location: 15-20min by walk to the main street/Carvoeiro beach - but the road is quite steep. There is a big parking just in the front of the hotel. Atmosphere: Chill Rooms: Clean, big and bright - renovated Terrace: Not renovated, Cleanliness: Nice, everyday there is someone who is taking care of the room Noise level: In the room is great but if you want to swim in the swimming pool or just chill outside there is a weird constant noise coming from the top of the building - quite annoying Breakfast: Good, repetitive, not much veggies.
I had a wonderful stay at the Carvoeiro Garden Hotel while exploring the Algarve in September. The room was clean and spacious. There was a kitchenette hidden behind closet doors. There was a small patio that overlooked the pool as well. I enjoyed dining at the hotel restaurant on 2 occasions. The staff was friendly from checkin to checkout. They were very helpful with my concerns since I’d never visited the region before. It’s an uphill climb back from the beach which is about 20 minutes along with restaurants. The lobby had water mixed with fruit each afternoon which was very refreshing after being in the hot sun in October. Overall, I really had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portugal.
We have had a brilliant week here. Weather was extremely warm. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted to by a cheerful receptionist who checked us in and gave us all the information we needed. We were handed the key to our room (206). We couldnt fault our room it was clean. Beds were comfy, lots if room, bathroom was lovely with big shower. We were booked in for breakfast and dinner. Couldnt fault either, so much choice! We spent a few days by the pool, gardens and pool were always clean and tidy. Great to have the bar near the pool for refreshments whilst sunbathing. Pool was cold but didnt stop us using it. There are many comments about the state of the hotel, it is an old hotel with lots of character which we like. It could do with some painting done but this didnt affect our stay. Its easy access into the town for shops, restaurants and bars. We will defintely be back!
