W Algarve

We have stayed at this resort several times, most recently from 9 to 12 October. As we have already covered the property’s general features in previous reviews, we will focus on what made this visit special: we now travel with our little dog and were delighted by how warmly he was welcomed. This resort is not merely pet-friendly. Unlike properties that simply allow pets to stay in the room, it made our dog feel like a guest in his own right. We were able to enjoy our time together throughout the resort, including the restaurants, bar and swimming pool. Our room, #1034, Garden View, Private Terrace, was particularly well suited to travelling with a pet. The lovely outdoor space gave us plenty of room to relax with our dog, and we strongly recommend this room category to other pet owners. We are also including photos of the room in this review. Overall, it was an excellent stay. The warm welcome that the three of us received made the experience especially enjoyable, despite a few minor shortcomings during our visit. Yes, this resort sets a very high standard for genuine pet-friendly hospitality.

We can't praise the W hotel enough; we were due to fly to Sicily but our holiday was cancelled the evening before because of Mount Etna volcanic ash eruptions and friends had stayed at the W hotel over the Summer and had recommended it. The bedrooms are spacious with large super king very comfortable beds along with a great bathroom and dressing area. There is a mini bar fridge and Nespresso machine in the lounge area. The service in every area of the hotel is outstanding and all the staff can't do enough to help you. Breakfast is a real highlight with a fantastic buffet and an a la carte option. We ate in Paper Moon twice and the food was great and there are lots of great local restaurants within walking distance. Overall we would highly recommend the W Hotel and we will definitely be returning one day.
