Great location. Very clean. Great room, food was good. Helpful staff. Would definitely go back again.
From when we arrived and throughout our stay, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room (50) had a pool and sea view with a balcony. A kitchenette provided all you needed if you wanted to prepare your own food. We did have to ask for a Kettle, but it was brought to us straight away. The room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage and plug sockets. The meals in the restaurant had plenty of choice, including for vegetarians. Explain to the chefs you’re vegetarian and they will happily prepare meals to your liking. The only downside was that the food could have been a bit hotter. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the beach with some bars. A supermarket is 5-minute walk away. As are boardwalks to enjoy a stroll along by the sea and the Lagoa dos Salgados where there is plenty of birdlife.
We stayed for a week over fourth of July. This was our first visit to Algarve so we were not sure what to expect. The resort is located within walking distance of Praia do Gale and the beach is beautiful. It is about a 15 minute drive to Old Town and the Strip. The plus for this resort is the proximity to the beach and the outdoor pool. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi were not in great shape. The jacuzzi was like warm, not a lot of bubbles, and tiles falling off. The outdoor pool was beautiful but there was a daily battle for chairs. There are a lot of activities facilitated onsite but we did not participate in most since our goal was to explore. If you are looking for a family friendly place that is close enough to the craziness of the Strip and Old Town to visit but far away enough to be relaxing when looking to do so, this resort is a great option.
Location. The beach is down a steep hill about 10 minutes for me,I am a lady in her 70s.plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas €10 for the day.public toilets available.3 restaurants bit expensive. A large supermarket about 5 minutes away selling everything you could wish for, chemist and cafe within. Lovely Italian restaurant few minutes away and that's all there is, a regular bus service too. Pool.I was surprised there was NO lifeguard, There were not enough sunbeds and umbrellas for the amount of people using the pool, mostly all the beds were taken by 8.30, there is a note saying any sunbeds with towels on for more than 30 minutes would have the towels removed but this was not done. I would like to know how many people came by car,not being residents of the hotel just to use the pool. Rooms. Were clean with fresh towels every day. We asked for a kettle and got one straight away, fridge, microwave and 2 rings, and a safe.,the only thing missing was some sort of clothes line, everyone hanging the towels over the balcony didn't look very nice. We could not sit on our balcony due to bird droppings. Dining room.was spacious and clean, the girls clearing the tables were polite and always smiling, which is more than I can say about the people behind the counter, always a queue especially for eggs in the morning. Entertainment. 2 girls worked very hard trying to get people to join in during the day. In the evening consisted of a man playing the guitar that was live music. We came with Tui,we did not see a rep during our stay which we found disappointing. You can work out if I will be returning .
This hotel is situated in a very quiet residential area with a selection of restaurants and a well stocked supermarket within walking distance There is a path way from the hotel to a very nice beach. There is a bus stop outside the hotel although not very convenient We got a taxi to Vilamoura which was about a 40 minute drive and cost €54 A taxi to Zoomarine was a 20 min drive. It is definitely worth a visit Albefueria is about 15 minute drive Ubers are cheaper than taxis The hotel itself is ok not entirely spotless towels were changed on a daily basis. If you are allocated a room to the front of the hotel be prepared to have your quite small balcony covered in bird poop so watch your towels I spotted a few cockroaches two indoors by the dining room the other was by the pool at night which I suppose cannot be prevented Breakfast was ok There was entertainment every night but nothing very exciting. The bar staff at the pool area weren’t very efficient we had to wait as long as 20 mins just to get ice cream on several occasions and it was the same in the bar at night. You definitely would not need to be thirsty. I will add the staff were always very courteous. The children’s pool was excellent Our room was overlooking the hotel driveway but as the balcony wasn’t that big we never sat out just used it to air our towels Poolside towels are provided free Personally I would not return to this hotel
