Just love it all the interior decoration in the rooms and they look very tidy and neat love the attitude from the cleaners as never is to difficult for them and i do love the uniforms as well, so well done to the team at the hotel a quick mention to the Manager as i didnt recall her name maybe Sarah or Sandrina ?
A luxury 5* hotel with a beautiful atmosphere and clean rooms. Value for money. The hotel gave me a surprise birthday celebration, complete with a cake, a bottle of wine, and a card.
This is out first time at this hotel as we were here for a wedding.
The hotel is lovely and very clean and smells great in reception., we had to move rooms because of air con issue and the same was not working but apart from that the room was very large, clean and had everything you needed, we were in room 464 The pool area was large and plenty of sun lounges although pool was still a little cold. The wedding was great and had a lovely area for it and everyone had a great time
Our only slight moan was the food in the restaurant was very bland, breakfast was good but the evening meals were not that good.
Apart from that we had a lovely 5 days.
Having just returned from Wine & Books Algarve today I wanted to write this review whilst it was fresh in my mind. My family & I had stayed at VidaMar last summer & 3 previous times before. We had booked our wedding there because we loved VidaMar so much. Wine & Books is NOT VidaMar.
Cancelling my wedding due to the venue burning to the ground & giving no reasonable or appropriate change of venue was one thing but having all of our 90 guests staying at Wine & Books because it was too late to change hotels, you would think that the hotel would go above & beyond for us.
NOPE!!!
If you have a family, eg children DO NOT stay here!
If you expect a smile from the pool bar staff when paying €10 a drink then DO NOT stay here! (Paulo needs customer service training IMMEDIATELY!)
If you want coffee in your 5* hotel room in the morning without having to pay extra for it then DO NOT stay here!
If you want any kind of evening or daytime entertainment that would be suitable for anyone under the age of 80 years old then DO NOT stay here!
Wine & Books is a hotel for people who want to pay over the odds for basic wine & read books. Like I said, VidaMar was a fun, friendly, family hotel. Lots of smiles, entertainment & a genuine sense of wanting to make their customers happy.
Wine & Books is the complete opposite!!!
There are mixed reviews of this hotel so wasn’t sure what to expect. We loved it ❤️ The rooms are spacious, we had a golf view room, area was quiet and easy to relax. The pool is the highlight of this hotel, there are plenty if din beds, no one fighting to put towels down to save a spot, no crazy music, it was just a relaxing break. We only stayed for 4 nights, mini break from the uk. Was about 50 mins from the airport, we arrive a little earlier than the 4 pm checking time but we were given pool cards so we could relax around the pool until the room was ready. The grounds are lovely, and the boardwalk to beach / local area - its a nice way to walk about the area, we walked around the lagoon one morning and back along the beach, an easy 3 mile walk. Local supermarket down the road to get water / cold drinks / beers etc My only niggles for this hotel is that there was no iron in the room, i rang reception to ask for one but only offer ironing service. There is no kettle in room or any teabags / sugar, just coffee machine and pods. At breakfast, we had to get up and ask for tea and coffee, no one approached us, which should be a basic standard when sitting down at your table. We would stay here again - it was definitely a relaxing break, just what we needed
