Albufeira with its bustling strip and numerous restaurants, bars and shops and Vilamoura with its elegant marina and the casino are both only 8 km away. Several excellent golf courses are within easy reach, Faro International Airport is at a distance of about 30 km.

Lovely holiday with some recommendations for improvements!
We’ve had a lovely stay at Ap Victoria as a family of four, with two young kids. Lots of positives and a few suggestions for improvements. Positives - the hotel is very clean and our apartment was big, had good AC and was cleaned every day (apart from when we just had clean towels and bins emptied due to a napping toddler). The facilities are good - the main pool is decent (though a little cold for babies!) and there were always plenty of sun loungers. We didn’t use the sports facilities. The main positive was the staff at the hotel, in particular Marta and Jojo who were so great with our kids and made such an effort to make you feel welcome. They looked out for us every day and put in so much effort with the activities to offer fun around the pool and some evening entertainment for the kids. Thank you!! The catering staff were great too and always helpful getting high chairs/yoghurt requests!
Negatives/Improvements - the food was okay. Lots of choice at breakfast but lunch/dinner were very samey after a few days. The food was often a little on the cool side too, but we did always come away with full stomachs! Some food was missing labels so it could be difficult if you had dietary requirements. The kids pool is round the back of the hotel and was very quiet. It felt a little run down and there were quite a few missing tiles etc and the slide/fountains just needed a little updating/paint! Whilst our toddler loved the kids pool, the path to get there was pretty impossible with a buggy and the alternative route through the hotel involved steps and another gravel path which was difficult to navigate too. Saying that, Jojo helped carry the buggy one day to help us out and another day we were helped by a gardener.
Location - it is a little isolated. The beach is about 10 mins away but the shorter route includes loads of steps, which was difficult with a buggy and a toddler/baby. There was an alternative route which took longer but had less steps, but involved a gravel path at the side of a road which was impossible to push the buggy on. We did manage a few trips to the beach though, and it is beautiful! There’s a supermarket nearby and a little square with a couple of restaurants/bars…but that’s it.
All in all, a lovely holiday with no major issues at all.

Great holiday
I stayed at this hotel last week with my wife. On arrival we were upgraded to a pool view room & were allowed access to the room before the normal 4pm time.
The rooms were very spacious. We had a good-sized bedroom. The living room & dining area were big as well. The bathroom was a good-size with a step-in bath/shower. There is also a well stocked kitchen. The room was cleaned/made up every day.
All the staff across the hotel were very friendly & helpful to all the guests.
The dining room offers a wide variety of food choices – there’s always something good to eat. Special shout out to Kyle in the dining room who was friendly, efficient and told us some places to go & visit – he also spoke brilliant English.
The pool area is kept very clean & there were plenty of sunbeds for the guests to use. The pool is a good size with a shallow area for kids. There is also a very pleasant jacuzzi for guests to use.
The hotel has a running track, football pitch, tennis/padel courts & a gym. Plenty of choice for those wanting to exercise.
The hotel offers a bus service (2 Euro charge) for those who want to go into Vilamoura or Albufeira. There are also plenty of Ubers available.
I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

Could have been worse
Just go back from 10 days at the ap victoria and would have gave it a better score if not for 2 things. The food was good but nearly always barely warm coupled with the cold plates that made it colder, it was hot when first cooked but the equipment was no good for keeping it that way and as i said the plates were cold so if there was a device to keep the plates hot that may have worked better.the other issue was for nine days around the pool was great always a sun bed and the animation team were very friendly and invited you join in with everything but on our last day a group of about 12 middle aged english men arrived and from the begining of the afternoon you could see what was going to happen they were shouting laughing and swearing at each other and filling the tables with empty beer glasses and when we came down at 6:30 for a drink before our evening meal they were then throwing each other in the pool bearing in mind that all the other nights there were still some people around the pool but this night evereyone was gone (good job for the kids as one could have easily been injured) i think everyone is allowed to enjoy themself but when it intimidates others the hotel management should have curtailed what is happening i dont think even the bar staff wanted to go near as the tables were piled high with empty glasses and the guys drinking didnt have the decency to take the empies back.i have no quibble about groups going on holiday there was also a group of about10 portuguese men there that were also having a few drinks by the pool but were acting like adults not football hooligans.rant over i am just glad it was pleasant for the majority of the holiday. Our First Visit to the Algarve
What a lovely holiday experience. For many years we have heard of the Portuguese hospitality and how lovely the Algarve is, never was a truer word spoken and for us we couldn’t have picked a better first time hotel. The food was absolutely lovely and although a fairly simple menu it was done very well and tasted lovely. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Although the hotel is not in central Alberfiera we had to use Ubers most days, the friendly family attitude more than made up for this. AP Victorias hard working staff boost this hotel to five stars in my opinion. We are not normally one to ‘get involved’ with hotel activities and tend to retire to our room but something about the staff compelled us to compete in many activities and it really added to the holiday vibe and we looked forward to the pool side games. For us however the evenings were something to really look forward to namely the evening entertainment in the form of Marta and Jojo who were so friendly to my family that they felt like friends at the end of the week and we honestly felt hard to say goodbye. Thank you to all the staff at AP Victoria we will be back. Matt, Sam and Toby aka The Out of Tunas :)
Best holiday i have ever had !
I went to AP Victoria from the 20th of september to the 27th and it was by far the best holiday i have ever been to abroad. The food was lovely and there was alot of variety. The room was very clean and it was a very nice quiet location. The entertainment was the best ive ever seen from day time games with Solange or if it was live music or night time quizzes with Marta and Jo Jo. Solange was very good at getting everyone of all ages involved and created an unforgettable holiday. it was very hard to come homes as i couldve stayed forever i felt that welcomed. 100/100 would recommend by far the nicest hotel and people i have met in my 21 years of living. Well done guys keep it up !
