Centrally located resort of Albufeira, the Paladim Aparthotel is well run by friendly staff, creating a relaxing atmosphere. FROM 15/12/2016 AHEAD Paladim and Alagoamar aparthotel (situated in the same building) will join to be one hotel with 1 reception ONLY and all the services will be available for both hotels. The hotel is located between Old town of Albufeira and new town (The Strip), meaning guests will have the whole of the resort to explore. The location really is a fantastic feature of this hotel, which active families and couples will enjoy. Paladim is not far from beaches, so is ideal for people looking to explore or relax on the beach. The swimming pools and sun terraces are set in an attractive garden, the ideal place to spend lazy days. Guests will find numerous shops, restaurants and bars close by. The property provides comfortable accommodation with spacious apartments, all of which feature a selection of amenities including a kitchenette. Guests may enjoy a selection of hotel facilities including 2 outdoor swimming pools and 2 children's pools as well as poolside snack bar/restaurant. During the high season entertainment is provided almost every night. The Paladim has a total of 63 rooms (with Alagoamar 126), some studio and some one-bedroom apartments with avenue or pool view. Even though this is a self-catering apartment block, there are many features and amenities that ensure this will be a lovely stay. Rooms include satellite television, full bathroom facilities and a balcony looking over the avenue or pool view. There are 17 (with Alagoamar 34) studio rooms sleeping one to two persons and 46 one bedroom apartments (with Alagoamar 92) sleeping one to four. Each room offers: microwave, electric hobs, toaster, electric kettle, fridge, sofa bed, satellite television, bathroom with bath and shower, balcony with avenue or pool view. Facilities are the same in Paladim and Alagoamar but decoration is variable.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Summer Holiday 2026
Just back from an enjoyable weeks stay at the Paladim & Alagoa MarHotel We found the reception and security staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless clean. Marco and Fabio provided an impeccable service at the bar. Marco went above and beyond to ensure all guests were kept entertained and had a pleasant evening. Location was perfect in between both old and new town. Definitely book this hotel again !

Definitely defied expectations!
Very different from our usual holiday and at about a quarter of the price I think it was phenomenal value for money. We arrived at the airport and were greeted by Jet2 reps who told us room wouldn't be ready until 4, this was zero problem as you can store your bags and use the pool etc, just make sure your swim gear is accessible! In the event the room was ready sooner anyway. We travelled as a family of 6 with an 18 year old, 16 year old , 14 year old and 11 year old. Both rooms were spacious and absolutely spotlessly clean, both had large balconies and a rack for drying clothes. The 1 bed apartment also had a well equipped kitchenette, more than adequate for making snacks or breakfast, we booked B and B so didn't use it. The B and B was great, small selection of fruit, yogurts, pastries and hot food items that was regularly replenished, really fresh and again spotlessly clean. A thumbs up from us. The cleanliness was a real feature, rooms, communal areas, bars, pools were all spotless. There are two pools with plenty of space although inevitably people do reserve sunbeds very early. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but had a drink in the bar and it was laid back and just a lovely atmosphere. The location is brilliant, a short walk into the old town where there are every cuisine option you can imagine! The walk and the old town whilst packed, felt very safe and was full of families. The staff in the hotel were outstanding , from reception, to the bar and restaurant , housekeeping and maintenance they are all an asset to the hotel. We ate lunch in the hotel a few days and it was delicious, fresh and good value. Overall we couldn't really fault it and wouldn't hesitate to return. Nothing to do with the hotel, but as another point of information, we paid for a private transfer with Jet2, which was seamless and really reasonable, quite a long transfer so we thought it was worth the money. We loved Portugal, beautiful place, wonderful people and a really excellent hotel.

Great time had
Just returned from a fabulous 10 night stay. The hotel is well situated between the old & new towns & the beach is close by too. Everything you need is literally on your doorstep e.g. supermarket, restaurants, taxi rank etc. There is a nice chilled atmosphere around the hotel. There are 2 good sized pools (noisy & quiet). The rooms are a decent size but slightly dated. The rooms are clean & housekeeping are available to clean your room every day. It can be noisy at times but a lot of that is down to the tiled floors in the rooms & people moving furniture around. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times, the food was absolutely delicious with huge portions. Lastly, the staff are so friendly & attentive, the reception staff were so helpful as we booked a few excursions through them. Special mention to Marco the barman, he’s a breath of fresh air & great at making cocktails! Thanks everyone, we’ve had a great holiday & would love to return in the future!

This was our second stay here, and we’d definitely come back again!
The rooms are a little dated, but that didn’t take away from our holiday at all. The pool was always lovely and clean, the food was good, and the location is perfect between the Old Town and New Town.
A big thank you to Fabio and the rest of the staff at the bar and pool bar, who were always friendly and made us feel so welcome. Pedro and Filipa at karaoke were also amazing with our son, who sang so many songs! They made him feel really welcome and helped make our evenings so enjoyable.
The housekeeping team did a great job cleaning our room every other day and were always so friendly.
Overall, it’s a fantastic hotel for families, with wonderful staff who really make the difference. We’d happily stay again!

Good hotel would recommend.
Good hotel, nice pools. Had to get down earlyish to get beds. The bar lady did take towels away if she saw no body near them which was good. Rooms were nice , air con was great. All The cooking equipment was good. The location is ok. It’s a good 15 minutes to new town or old town. It’s 15 minutes down a hill to go to the beach too. The night entertainment is good had a singer most night. We only ate at the hotel once and the food was nice. There’s no day entertainment at all. Overall was good.
