In the heart of the small resort of Olhos d'água, between Albufeira and Vilamoura, the Oceanus Aparthotel is close to shops and restaurants. A beautiful sandy beach is just 550 yards away and the promenade is fringed with palm trees.

Good hotel, but not outstanding!
We had a lovely stay overall and there were plenty of positives. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job every day. There were always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool, so there was never any need to rush down early in the morning (although some people did!) The food from the poolside café was surprisingly good, with a great selection and generous portions. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the location was excellent with easy access to the beach (although the hill is very steep so maybe not ideal for anyone with accessibility issues) lots of great restaurants nearby and 2 supermarkets within a few mins walk.
There were a few downsides though. The room was very small for a family of four and felt quite cramped. The bedroom was as expected but the living and kitchen area was very small. Although it was advertised as sleeping four people, the balcony only had seating for two, which seemed odd. Even for 2 people the balcony was a squeeze! The hotel lacked entertainment, so evenings were quite quiet, and the bar area was small with limited seating.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I'm not sure I'd hurry back - I think I'd be happy to return with just my husband but probably not as a family of 4.

Lovely quiet complex suitable for mobility scooter
Apart hotel Oceanus is Right in the centre of the tourist area - multiple restaurants bars and supermarket within 100m - quiet area
Travelled with mobility scooter and the staff were very helpful - easy access to get in the pools - steps and bars to hold
Could travel easily around the complex
With as little bit of travel on the road I could move around the area easily
Very lucky to arrive in the week of the local festival - free local entertainment on 2 nights in the local sports complex
The beach is beautiful and easy to travel down to see and to move around but the trip up the hill is impossible in a scooter - had to get a taxi - very difficult to get taxi and only managed it with help from a local patron at the restaurant - it didn’t help that is was the World Cup semi final night
Beautiful area and lots to see - day trip to Albufeira old town recommended by day - and wine tasting was a beautiful day out
Accommodation was basic standard room and balcony but had everything we needed - cleaned every day - and accessible shower - only issue no bars to hold
Have wheelchair rooms as well if needed
Lovely complex and generally busy but quiet - would recommend

Perfect getaway
This turned out to be a perfect getaway for me since I lost my Beautiful wife eight months ago, and first time travelling without her.Travelled with my sisters and niece and thankfully all went well. Oceanus is a perfect spot to chill and relax with a wonderful restaurant on site with big selection. Breakfast was delicious with plenty on offer . Pool area is well kept with refreshing pool and plenty of beds. A short walk into the tiny village but something for everyone here. Rooms spacious with aircon and all your needs. Wifi works really well. Bed was a little hard for me. Staff here are wonderful but one note to take is you cannot take any food or beverages from outside to pool area. You will be challenged on this. Wonderful spot.

Amazing staff
First time here. We leave tomorrow. What makes the hotel is the staff. Will definitely be rebooking
Excellent staff make this place!
It's just great. Excellent staff make this place, from check-in, to the bar & the housekeeping team, they are all top notch, everyone has a smile and they are all so helpful & welcoming. Rooms are spacious, well kitted out & very clean. It has nice pools, we always found sun-beds, prices at the bar are good. It's the 3rd time we have visited now & we will be back for sure. No need to take inflatable rings, balls for the pool, its the sort of place where people leave items like that after their visit, there was even a communal inflatable croc there. If I had one comment i would of liked a slightly softer mattress, but thats the only a small minus point. For the money we payed it was excellent.
