3HB Falesia Garden

We had a fabulous week at Falesia Gardens. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment that had apparently just been renovated. It was spacious and clean. We were in Block 15 with nothing of a view, I had requested a sunny balcony and we did get the sun in the afternoon but the shadows from all the bars meant sunbathing wasn't really an option! It's only a small gripe though. The whole place is just beautiful, so well kept and there are always staff around hoovering the paths and tending to the plants! The apartment was cleaned every day, with fresh towels supplied as well. Pool towels are given to each guest which means you don't have to pack one so saves on the baggage! The pool area is lovely, plenty of sunbeds and different places to hang out. The option to order drinks/snacks/food served direct to your sunbed was inspired! (you just scan the QR code on the tag on your parasol) The steps down to the beach road were very handy, the beach is absolutely beautiful and the beach bar/restaurant there (El Golfino) is really lovely (and much appreciated at the end of a long beach walk!) Food at the hotel is very good. We were staying on a B&B basis, breakfast was really good with plenty of choice and of a good quality. We ate out in various restaurants each night but we had lunch at the hotel each day and the food and service was excellent, really well presented and a great menu with lots to choose from. We didn't have dinner there but I'd expect it to be as good as the lunches we had. The hotel is situated at the top of a slight hill. It's only a short walk down into the town, maybe 10 minutes max into the main 'square' at the beach and there are lots of restaurants around. Highlights for us was Manzo steakhouse, Indian Palace, Fratellis Italian and Calheiros (traditional Portuguese) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and relaxing. We'd like to specially mention Marisa who served us lunch and drinks at the restaurant each day and Bruno in Guest Services, but really all the staff were friendly and helpful. We definitely intend to return and wouldn't even look at any other hotel, this was perfect for us.

Stayed for 12 nights at Falesia gardens on half board. Loved most things about it, the room was enormous and extremely clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and efficient and the nearby beach is fantastic. Breakfast is generally very good with decent choices, and lunch in the nearby bar was always excellent.

I’ve never been an advocate for dinner buffets and sadly this one was no different. I just wish hotels would provide less choice but better quality! Overall though we had a great time and would recommend this hotel if you’re after a relaxing holiday.

This is my honest review for the week I spent at this hotel, the hotel is about a 40 minute transfer from Faro airport by minibus on arrival check in was easy and straightforward was explained a few things given a map and proceeded to our apartment, upon entering our apartment, you could smell the cleanest Everything was spotlessly clean and a very spacious apartment with modern contemporary decoration and a welcome bottle of water, it was well equipped with toaster kettle microwave hob fridge, tea, coffee, sugar a digital safe in the bedroom a very comfy bed and a pull out double sofa bed, plenty of wardrobe space extra pillows and duvets two smart TVs one in the bedroom and in the lounge area nice size balcony with table and four chairs the bathroom is very nice with a rainfall shower hairdryer and nice toiletries.

The pool area was very nice plenty of sunbeds on offer whatever time of day you decided to go down to the pool there is a pool bar which serves snacks and drinks but make yourself known to the staff or you could be waiting a long time there is another snack bar and bar area above this one but the same applies make yourself known

Falesia restaurant is quite a nice restaurant well laid out be prepared to queue to go in while they wait to show everybody to a table should have more staff on at busy times I am an adult and I think I can find somewhere to sit in a restaurant the same applies when you have finished your meal and you go to pay the drinks bill , there are some good staff in the restaurant and bar area but others seem to be just going through the motions again make yourself known or you’ll be waiting for someone to come to your table to ask if you want to drink ,breakfast was particularly good all the usual fair freshly cooked omelettes fried breakfast nice pastries plenty of choice though the orange juice could’ve been better no issues here, the evening menu was a bit of a mixed bag some nights it was very good and other nights my wife did struggle at times but I found it perfectly acceptable. They cook meat and fish on the grill make their own pizzas and lovely salads. some of the staff could be better trained you do not lean across somebody who is eating their meal to pick a plate up on the other side of the table. they seem obsessed with clearing plates put your plate down when you finished turn your back and it’s gone. I don’t really like people hovering around when I’m eating. Wait till I’m finish then clear the table, the view restaurant. Is à la carte as we were half board

we never use this restaurant. There is a self-service laundry, vending machine by the game room. The gym is not free to use first time I’ve been to a hotel and you have to pay to use the gym. !! The evening entertainment.in the Falesia bar was a bit hit and miss low-key some nights were better than others

Never had any issues with the Wi-Fi dropping out wherever I was on the complex. Would I return? Probably yes as the weather was perfect for our week here and easy access to the beach down some wooden steps.

Two people who deserve a special mention a young man called Thapa and a young lady with black hair who I think was called Mika or something similar , but both of these young people were bubbly pleasant helpful and a cut above the rest
