We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and overall it was lovely and relaxing. After reading a lot of reviews about the food on a night we went with open minds. I myself found the food not so good so I basically ate salads every night. My husband on the other hand tried most of the different foods on the themed nights and enjoyed them. There wasn't much choice in deserts but I don't eat dessert but my hubby enjoyed trying them. The other thing was you don't get a drink with your evening meal which I thought strange not even water which we had to buy at €2-50 for a small bottle plus gratuities. Yes if you want beer or wine then definitely pay but a small glass of water should be offered after all you have paid for your meal. The drinks in the bar are quite expensive. I ordered a Pina Calado Zero and it was €11 but €12 if you added the spirit I didn't have many after that. But I will say the staff were lovely and helpful and our room ( junior suite) was beautiful and always clean. We also tried the indoor pool which was gorgeous and warm and after we lay on the loungers to dry in the heat of the room. The outdoor pool and surrounding area is lovely. Loads of comfy seats beside the pool bar and the garden is outstanding. So much to see and the fish are always hungry. Breakfast was lovely and loads too chose . Our waiter was lovely and taught us the Portuguese language ( well some) but he was moved onto a different section 🥲. Overall we really enjoyed our stay .

A+ Location, staff, rooms... Stay here

We had a brilliant stay! We had a stunning panoramic view of the mountains, a massive balcony, a comfy bed and a fantastic shower in a bright, cool and clean room. For the most part, all the staff we encountered were brilliant, welcoming and helpful. A few special mentions (I failed miserably to get names, unfortunately) - 1st, I think he may have been a chef? Whenever we crossed paths in the bar, he ALWAYS had a stunning smile to greet us. 2) Our shuttle bus driver was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, plus we always felt safe and looked after on our journeys. 3) There was a bartender at the pool bar who seemed to match our vibe a little easier than most (which is an "us" problem, not a staff one). He was chatty and was happy to help us out with things like fab cocktails, but also in answering our silly questions about expectations regarding tipping etc, locally. My final special mentions, again, I'm so upset I didn't grab his name, was the gentleman who checked us in. We were lucky enough to encounter him a few times in our short stay. We both always walked away in a fantastic mood after our chats with him - even just organising our towell deposit felt like an absolute joy. He was fantastic. He knew exactly what we were looking for in regards to trips away from the hotel, everytime we spoke he made us feel like we were old friends and could go to him with anything at all. I hope you know who you are! If I haven't mentioned you, it's not to say you weren't also fab. Anyway! Location is spot on - close to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc. Still super tranquil and relaxing. Close enough for easy travel to many local attractions. We treated ourselves to a hot cooked breakfast from the buffet, every chance we got but unfortunately we missed the poolside BBQ (Thurs and Sun, I think), but everything looked delicious! As our first experience of an adult only hotel, we weren't sure what to expect. At first we were a bit overwhelmed by the quiet - especially around the pool or during the evenings live music. But by the end of our stay, we relaxed a little and it seemed most others may have done too. It's stunning. Stay here.

Relaxing holiday

This was our second stay at the falesia hotel, we were slightly concerned after reading a lot of negative reviews that had been posted recently. We shouldn’t have worried, reception staff were very friendly, we were allocated a pool view room which was lovely, very clean and ritual toiletries provided. Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels left. The pool area is lovely and we didn’t have any problem getting a sunbed, they probably could do with more umbrellas. The pool itself is in need of a clean as there was green algae around the edge and the tiles at the bottom of the pool looked quite dirty but hopefully this will be sorted out soon. The staff at the pool bar were under pressure as they seemed to be training new starts and trying to serve at the same time! More staff is needed for the pool bar. Most of the staff were very pleasant and hard working around the hotel. The breakfast was good with a large selection to choose from, you get your own coffee from a machine, it was nice. We didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on that. When we were there 2 years ago they had entertainment around the pool a few days a week, there wasn’t any this time which we missed. A bit of background music would be nice. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would return to the falesia again.

Falesia hotel

We stayed at the hotel Falesia in Albuferia for 11 nights, overall we had a really nice holiday and there were lots of good things about the hotel. The food: lots of people complaining about the food but certainly not us, I personally thought the food was very good , lovely salads , plenty of choice and best thing was show cooking ,really nice chicken, fish and not to forget steaks, also breakfast was great . Hotel very clean and nice pool area, TUI say you can get to the beach via the hotel next door which is true, but what they dont say is that the hotel next door 'Pine Cliffs'was more of a resort than a hotel, which it takes about 15 minutes walking through the complex until you reach the steps to the beach, again TUI says 200 steps, must be at least 300 ! Going down the steps isnt too bad but walking up is not for the faint hearted ! The beach itself is beautiful and the hotel offers a courtesy bus to the beach , we found the times very inconvenient though 10am and 12 oclock. There needed to be an 11am bus. The hotel gives you a bottle of water in your room when you arrive and that is it, apparently you only get a bottle of water daily if you have booked a suite, bizarre policy ,I have never stayed at a hotel before that doesnt give you water daily surely thats a given ? Unfortunately we were put in a very noisy room ,we were finally moved after 5 days, which actually was a real shame and took up one of our days waiting for another room packing and unpacking etc! I would like to mention Phillippe on reception that was particularly helpful re the room move, also the guy doing the show cooking was great really friendly and our waiter was great i think his name was Jaldeep. The hotel also has a policy of adding service charge to everything you order which very quickly mounts up. The bottom line is always would you return to a hotel and we wouldnt return here for a few reasons probably because there is nothing much in Falesia itself and we have been to other hotels where we have liked a lot more. One last point if you can take your own pillows as hotels pillows are very uncomfortable.

Ruined

We have been going to the Falesia for 15 years but sadly this will be our last time. The hotel is clean and quiet but new owners/management have ripped the heart out of what was an exceptionally good hotel. Almost all the staff who were there have gone. It was a pleasure returning each year to find those same friendly faces there to greet you but sadly that is no longer the case; interactions with staff have become limited. Perhaps most disappointing is the restaurant which has been reduced to a basic low budget experience with a very repetitive low grade menu. Nothing exceptional and certainly not 4*. The bar area is virtually empty with no atmosphere and poor service. Having looked at next years prices it would appear that profit is all that is important. Rooms are nice but sadly the TV doesn't work for long and the staff appear complacent when approached about it. Overall very disappointing
