Eden Resort

Lovely family destination. Very relaxing. Lovely villas quite large .house keeping very good . Good very plenty good selection. Staff very friendly. Could do with more entertaining by pool during the day. Arrived early had to wait most of the day to check in . So bit of a downer. Overall loved the place .

We stayed here for 1 week at the end or September and oh my god we loved every moment. We arrived after a very early morning flight with 3 kids and when we went to reception we were greeted by two lovely ladies. We thought we would just be leaving our luggage as it was only maybe half 12 so we never thought our room would be ready but it was to our delight. We rented a car so we were able to drive the car right to the front door of our 2 bed apartment. The apartment was spacious and plenty big for a family of 4. The beds were comfortable and even the sofa bed was manageable. I did have to ask a few times for the shower gel to be refilled in the ensuite bathroom but I found the messaging service super handy for that. We did run into an issue in the main bedroom. On our first night when we returned to the room after the entertainment we notice a large puddle of water on the floor directly under the air con unit and we noticed drips coming from it also but because it was late and we had to get the kids to bed we just used a towel to dry it up and then we moved the baby crib to the other side of the room just incase the water started to drip during the night. I woke in the middle of the night to use the loo and stepped out and straight into another puddle on the floor! This was on the opposite side to the air con and there was no obvious reasons for the puddle. The next morning I got in touch with reception and they sent maintenance who messed around with the air con system. We left for the pool and when we came back around 6pm the whole apartment was like a sauna and we could not get the aircon to work so again I messaged the reception who said they would send someone so we went out for our food and to watch the entertainment but when we came back the aircon was still not working. We had a pretty uncomfortable sleep that night but maintenance arrived the next morning and fixed it but guess what? The puddles returned 😅 at this stage we were on day 3 and I sure as hell was not willing to pack up all our stuff and start moving apartments so we just sucked it up.

Food was brilliant for an all inclusive. Yes the food was repetitive some nights but it was completely edible and that's the main thing. There was plenty of selections also. The pool bar was the best I have seen for lunch and snacks and the cocktails and super bock were amazing! We didn't get to try the restaurant up the stairs but I heard it was fabulous. Even breakfast hit the spot! Staff were always doing the rounds and offering wine or beer for the adults in the evening time.

The pools were fantastic! Yes the water was cold even on the days when temps were reaching 30° but it was so refreshing when you first got in and then after your first dunk it was heavenly. One thing I disliked at the pool was the slippery tiles. There was one small child that was running and I can still hear the bang of his head when it hit the deck. I kept yelling at my kids to walk but even at that they were slipping all over the place. I even slipped a bit myself so not sure what the issue was as I have never saw this before at a poolside. There were also some bricks that were lose om the pathway to the pool so if you weren't looking down you could have easily hurt yourself. There were plenty of sun loungers but still plenty that would lay the towels out early morning and then no one appears until well into the afternoon. I actually witnessed one woman removing 4 towels and setting up her own family and I thought that was brilliant. We all need to start doing that 😅

Now the creme de le creme was the entertainment. Absolutely sensational. Each and every one of the entertainment team were professional and talented beyond words. I was in awe of them all especially the fire show on the Saturday night. Wow, wow, wow!

All the staff were so friendly from the reception, entertainment, kids club, pool bars, restaurants, cleaners and maintenance. They all were so welcoming. I did see people complaining about the cleaners not doing big cleans and I just feel that would be unrealistic for a resort of that size to have deep cleaning while your holidaying. The beds were made everyday and fresh towels were provided. In my opinion that is all that is required. It's not hard to keep your own apartment clean for 7, 10 or 14 days!

All in all I have to say we will most definitely be back. Wonderful resort, wonderful food and the perfect place for a relaxing summer holiday.

Extremely disappointing stay — poor service and inadequate compensation

We came here as a family to enjoy our holiday, but the first two nights were disrupted by problems with our room. First, the door lock repeatedly made noises at night, preventing us from sleeping. The following day, the toilet was not working properly either, and we had another disturbed night.

After two nights of poor sleep, we asked to move rooms so we could at least enjoy the rest of our holiday. We were given another room of the same type, which did not address our concerns about the uncomfortable sofa beds.

When I asked whether there was a room available with better beds, I was told we would have to pay an additional €150 for the remaining three days. After everything we had already experienced, I found this completely unacceptable.

We received just €20 in compensation. In my opinion, this was nowhere near an adequate response to two disrupted nights of a family holiday.

What disappointed me most was how our complaint was handled. We felt that our concerns were not taken seriously and that we were expected to pay more to make the rest of our stay comfortable.

A holiday should be a chance to relax, and this experience left us frustrated and deeply disappointed. Based on our stay and the way these problems were handled, I would not recommend this hotel.
