Quietly excellent
Where to start? Honestly the best 3 star hotel we’ve ever stayed in.
Our room was huge with a patio opening on to the garden/pool area. Super clean. Great shower. Bed was quite firm but obviously quite new. Loads of storage.
Pool area is a joy, no-one around for a lot of the time. Nice cushions for the sun beds. Pool is immaculate and there’s a lovely jacuzzi too.
We were B& B and the breakfast was amazing. Loads of choice. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries, cold meat and cheeses and then hot food too, eggs, bacon etc. At lunchtime there are sandwiches at the honesty bar for around €3-4 each, just make a note of what you had. The bar itself has everything you could want to drink and there are also minibars in the rooms. At 4pm each day there’s free tea/coffee and biscuits too. Reception staff are lovely and helpful. There’s a safe in your room €15 a week.
The hotel IS on a hill and it’s a big one. It’s steeply down hill to the marina but only€3.30 in a taxi back. It’s also downhill all the way to the Old Town with its many bars and restaurants. Around €6 taxi back. There isn’t much between the hotel and either of those places to stop off at en route.
We absolutely loved this place and can highly recommend it if you want to chill somewhere peaceful and quiet.

A lovely adult only hotel
We have just returned from a 14 day holiday staying at this hotel with family (3 couples). I can honestly say this is a fantastic place to stay. The management & staff are very helpful & friendly. It is exceptionally clean throughout, breakfast has lots of choice, no issue with getting a sun lounger near the pool/garden. Thank you to all the staff for a great holiday

Fantastic stay at Cerro da Marina Hotel.
Sometimes a little apprehensive about visiting somewhere the first time.
Have no fear what a fantastic adult only Hotel. Very well organised for late arrivals. Our large bedroom serviced everyday. All areas extremely clean. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Swimming pool , jacuzzi and Spa.
Fantastic breakfast choice.
Few minutes walk to Local bus stop.
Thanks to all for our great holiday.

What a find !!
Cerro da Marina is a charming, peaceful hotel .it's been the perfect place to unwind. It is spotlessly clean and set within beautifully maintained gardens, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.
Our room was spacious, bright, and airy, with a lovely view across the rooftops towards the marina and overlooking the beautiful gardens. The honesty bar is a great idea and works really well. Towels were changed every two days, everything was kept immaculate, and the reception staff were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help.
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay within walking distance of the marina and old town, albeit on a hill ! I would highly recommend Cerro da Marina. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily return.
Pleasant stay
Nice hotel in a good location for the marina and old town Albufeira. Both about a 13 minute walk for us. We didn’t find the hill back up a problem but others have commented on it. The area is generally hilly and slopes to the old town. Room was a good size with plenty of storage, more than we are used to. Good shower. Pool and jacuzzi area is nicely done and well maintained with nice plants. Breakfast had a good choice, even a few hot items, reasonable quality. The honesty bar was well stocked with snacks and drinks but note that there is no tea and coffee in the room. You can hire a kettle and safe for a fee. You can buy basics at the hotel if you forget them. The hotel can sort excursions, shuttles to nearby places and spa treatments but we didn’t use these. This is a great place if you like to be independent, but perhaps not if you want to be waited on hand and foot. Rooms a little dated but we didn’t mind as they were big.
