The rooms are designed in such a way that the rest is guaranteed through its comfortable beds and cozy atmosphere, excellent furniture and complete equipment of the unit, they encourage visitors to explore the beaches and enjoy the sun in the complex.

Excelent location with great service, perfect for families.
Fantastic resort
Excellent hotel, loads or pool options to suit all ages. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our aparthotel room was clean and serviced regularly. Food was top class from breakfast to evening dinner. Big shout out in particular to the kids club entertainers, they were superb. Ines, Sophia, Keith, Leo, Christian, Joanna and led by Nuno (hope I'm not missing anyone) they were all brilliant, from the morning kids club to the pool activities to the mini disco in the evening, our 6 year old loved every minute of it. We will definitely be back. Thank you from Stephen, Margaret and Amelia.

Family friendly fun!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Alfagar, and it made our first trip to Portugal one we’ll never forget.
A special thank you to Nuno and the entertainment team. They were always friendly, welcoming, and full of energy. Our kids looked forward to the activities every day and loved playing water polo, archery, trivia, and other games throughout the week. There was always something fun going on for kids, families, and adults, and it really added so much to our vacation.
The resort itself has so much to offer. Between the pools, waterslides, beach access, and activities, you could easily spend your entire vacation here without ever needing to leave. There is also 3 resorts you can utilize which was really nice. Our room was beautiful and conveniently located near the main pool, the beach, and the mini market, which made everything so easy with young children.
One of our favorite memories was spending time at the beach exploring the tide pools. Crawling through the cave to reach them with our kids was such a fun adventure and one of those experiences we’ll always remember from our first visit to Portugal.
A little tip for future guests: If you decide to head off the resort for dinner one night, we highly recommend Restaurante O Marinheiro. It was one of the best meals we had during our trip. I tried authentic grilled octopus for the first time, and it was incredible. The drinks, atmosphere, and service were excellent, and the staff was so welcoming and accommodating with our children. It’s only a short drive from the resort and definitely worth the visit.
Thank you again to Nuno and the entire activities team for helping make our family’s first trip to Portugal so special. We hope to be back someday!

Lovely week away to Albufeira - will definitely return
Really enjoyed our week self-catering at this resort as a family. Weather was really good which helped but I’d definitely return to this place in the future. As a decent sized resort this place has around 11 pools which meant there were always plenty of loungers and space to enjoy them. A nice football pitch, tennis courts and a decent gym meant that you didn’t have to spend all day every day by the pool as enjoyable as that is! Alfagar has a few decent eating options, a nice pool bar and is only a short uber ride ( around £5) to Albufeira old town which is lovely and has some great places including Ambrosio which I’d recommend. We didn’t head to the strip as our daughters are only 9 and 11. We went parasailing one day down at the marina which was great fun too.. All in all a great week away.
