Excellent and caring staff
We had a situation in the early hours of 18th September when my son became unwell, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better support from the staff at Alfagar.
Miguel in particular went above and beyond. Rather than simply signposting us somewhere, he took the time to call hospitals, taxis and pharmacies to make sure we could get the right care for my son. I’ve stayed in five-star hotels where you wouldn’t necessarily receive that level of help, and his efforts during a stressful situation meant a great deal to me.
What impressed me even more was that the following day, another member of staff called to check how my son was doing. There was no obligation to do that; it was simply an act of genuine kindness and concern.
All of the staff we’ve encountered have been friendly and the food has been good, but I probably wouldn’t have thought to leave a review were it not for what happened that night. Situations like this show the true character of a hotel and its staff, and Miguel and the wider team showed themselves to be exceptionally caring and helpful when it really mattered.
Na madrugada do dia 18 de setembro, o meu filho ficou doente e, sinceramente, não poderia ter pedido melhor apoio por parte da equipa do Alfagar.
Em particular, o Miguel foi muito além do que seria de esperar. Em vez de simplesmente nos indicar onde deveríamos ir, dedicou o seu tempo a contactar hospitais, táxis e farmácias para garantir que o meu filho recebia os cuidados adequados. Já fiquei alojado em hotéis de cinco estrelas onde não se recebe necessariamente este nível de atenção, e a ajuda do Miguel fez uma enorme diferença num momento bastante stressante.
O que me impressionou ainda mais foi que, no dia seguinte, outro membro da equipa me telefonou para saber como estava o meu filho. Não tinham qualquer obrigação de o fazer; foi simplesmente um gesto genuíno de preocupação, simpatia e humanidade.
Todos os funcionários com quem tivemos contacto foram simpáticos e a comida tem sido boa, mas provavelmente não teria pensado em deixar uma avaliação se não fosse pelo que aconteceu naquela noite. São situações como esta que mostram o verdadeiro carácter de um hotel e da sua equipa, e o Miguel e os restantes funcionários demonstraram ser excecionalmente atenciosos e prestáveis quando realmente foi necessário.

Wow,my partner and i had a wonderful time,our second vist to this hotel and complex. A big thankyou to Daniel,on reception for our fantastic room.All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Room beautiful and well presented. Food was excellent,breakfast and evening meal . Ben , in dining room at breakfast time loved talking to you I know its a great place for families too,we witnesed this especially on the evening time . A truly great hotel for all. Swiming pools Ace. Gardens so well cared for,as we saw the staff working on the lawns and plants. Kitchen staff working hard too.

Nice hotel with plenty of pools and animation
Nice pools and hotel in general. Lots of oarking spaces and stuff to do. Was good to have some training before the futebol match for kids, so they get toguether and practice before the game. We enjoy quite a lot the futebol animation.
Great complex
We just spent 11 nights here. Absolutely loved the complex, perfect for younger children. It’s so chilled and the facilities are great and the public areas are very clean. We loved the setting and ate across the road in Bouganvilia a few times which was nice. Also had some pool snacks and also fine. Supermarket on site has everything you could need. I had seen some reviews about the location but I really loved it. Some restaurants nearby, a spar and bakery 5 mins walk away. 15 minute walk takes you into Santa Eulália and loads of restaurants here. The reception staff are fantastic, so competent and helpful.
The reason I only gave 4/5 is the cleaning service of the apartments. It wasn’t of a very high service. No tea towels. The same dirt stayed on the floor of bathroom under the sink the whole stay. They came very late in the day, could be after 4pm which was really inconvenient. One morning they arrived, I asked if they could come back later as had a baby napping and this wasn’t received well. Then the male cleaner said ok 3pm and his female colleague said “no cleaning” and basically flung towels and toilet paper at me.
This was the only part of our stay that was not wonderful. I will rebook for next year as we had such a good time but if this cleaning issue was rectified it would be a 5/5 place.
