- Albufeira Beach Hotel
This friendly hotel has an enviable location in the heart of Albufeira, in a pedestrian zone in the old part of the city between the park and Fisherman's beach. The property is near a number of bars and restaurants, with the bus station 400 metres and Faro Airport 35 km away. This friendly, family-run residential hotel, situated in the lively centre of Albufeira, is a perfect base for those looking to explore and experience the area. It is therefore not particularly suitable for guests who are looking for a quiet retreat.. All 31 rooms have been renovated and are now equipped with new furniture, air conditioning, Satellite TV, double-glazed windows and an en-suite bathroom features in all accommodation units.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Rooms small but perfectly formed, freshly decorated, beds comfortable, linen clean, fresh and new. Bathroom very compact but very clean. Staff very helpful. Positioned on the strip, noisy at night but that’s to be expected due to position. Central for beach, restaurants and all amenities. An enjoyable stay with a fabulous buffet breakfast at local Italian restaurant, tokens available at hotel
The staff are polite and the rooms are very nice, also a very good location right on the old town strip. Good choice when traveling with friends.
We just arrived and showed our passport, we were made to put a wristband on then went to unpack in the room . We ventured outside to have dinner while doing so we noticed our wristbands we're getting tight on our wrists due to the hot weather so we pulled them off . on our return to the hotel the staff member ANTONIO said because we took the wristband off he was going to charge us 10 euros per wristband, we refused and explained why we took them off but he was shouting and said he was going to get the police because we could be imposters even though we had wristbands in our hands and the key to our room , we then went to our room , ANTONIO then asked for our I. D. , I said we have just arrived and we showed our I.D. on arrival check your computer system , he then threatened us again with the police , we went to bed and was woken up at 4.30am by the police knocking on our door, we were flabbergasted by this and explained, they understood us and shouted in Portuguese to Antonio. So beware of Antonio after this he ignored us for all the week we stayed there with no apology from him , he was utterly disgusting and after travelling for 35 years we have never been treated in this manner.
Pros: nice and clean room, excellent shower, modern.
Cons: we got put in a room with no balcony, felt a bit clostraphobic, when you opened the window you was faced with a brick wall, also next door had a balcony and when the guest sat on it they could see straight into our room, there's no tea making facilities, the rooms are small (especially the bathroom) , you can here every noise going, ie the music outside until 4am (which we expected) cleaners starting work at 7am outside your room, washing machine banging early in the morning, guest in other rooms going to the toilet (in which was not very pleasant and I don't mean the flush), you also have to wear a stupid wristband all week that you can't take off or you get charged for it. The lift goes in between floors so you either carry your cases up or down flights of stairs.
The room we stayed in was 202, I don't think we will be returning customers.
I only gave 3 stars because of the good job the house keepers did
Dont come here! The worst hotel in Egypt is still miles above this in service
