This charming hotel is in Albufeira. Wi-Fi internet connection is available on public areas. This hotel has been designed with a conscious effort to adhere to the strictest ecological standards and features the certification.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a lovely week at this adult only hotel. Our room was very clean and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The pool area is nice and quiet and you were always able to get a sun bed. There are restaurants a short walk away and a supermarket. We did use uber to visit Albuferia and Vilamoura.
This is a lovely hotel in a quiet location. Adults only so no noise. Good public transport close by if you want to explore busier places. Hotel has a continental breakfast and is very clean. Rooms have a kettle and are cleaned regularly. Reasonable prices for food and drinks, which is cash only. Most importantly the staff are wonderful and we always find guests are friendly. We have been back 4 times now as it has everything we need for our holiday and a perfect location. Can’t wait to return to this lovely hotel and holiday spot.
I stayed here recently and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it. Overall, this felt much closer to a 2/5 experience than what I expected from a hotel.
The first big problem was the Wi-Fi. It was genuinely almost unusable, even for basic web browsing. If you need a reliable connection for work, video calls, streaming, or even just normal internet use, I wouldn’t count on it.
The staff experience was also disappointing. They often seemed poorly trained and unprofessional, and on several occasions came across as rude rather than welcoming or helpful. The reception setup is very limited and barely feels like a proper hotel reception.
Another strange issue was the payment situation. Payments were cash only, and I wasn’t given receipts, which I found quite unprofessional and inconvenient.
The room itself had some positives. It was clean enough, the air conditioning worked very well, and the balcony was genuinely nice. There was also a fridge in the room. However, there was no safe, and we also had ants in the room during our stay.
The bathroom was extremely cramped. The shower in particular was so tight that I could barely fit comfortably, and I’m a slim person. Anyone larger may find it genuinely uncomfortable to use.
More concerningly, some of the power sockets appeared to be broken and would regularly spark when using them. That made me uncomfortable and is something the hotel really needs to address from a safety perspective.
The pool area was fine — nothing particularly special, but perfectly usable.
There are a few decent aspects here, especially the effective air conditioning, balconies and generally acceptable cleanliness, but they are outweighed by the poor Wi-Fi, staff experience, cramped facilities, ants, questionable payment practices and, most importantly, the condition of the electrical sockets.
Absolutely spot on...breakfast,rooms,cleanliness, staff, snacks, drinks pool, sunbeds etc. We loved the peacefulness of this beautiful find so much that whilst we were there we booked for next year for 18 nights. I cannot find one negative thing to say. Melanie and Steve xx
It's our fourth time at Agua Marinha and this time my son and daughter in law came as well, as we know the hotel quite well there was no problem finding our way around. It's every bit as good as the last time we came, the location is superb being situated in a quiet street with restaurants, bars and supermarket within five minutes. The breakfast is ample for us, we usually have cerial, toast and finish with pancakes. The room was clean comfortable and plenty big enough with air conditioning as well, good size bathroom and comfortable bed. It's very quiet so that suits us and will be returning , my son loved it as well
